Chapter 36: Marika moe.

(By the way, moe is pronounced "mo-eh" for anyone who doesn't know.) 8D

Raku: "Eh..."

Mari is so moe. I know that Raku x Marika is extremely unlikely (about as unlikely as Raku x Kosaki). It is a shame because I like her a lot.


Raku: (Out of these three, who is the girl I made a promise with...? But right now, the one I like is Onodera...)

Looks like Chitoge is the tallest even without her horns ribbons.

Chapter 36: Part 2.

Spoiler for 36:

There is actually a lot of development in this chapter, so much so that I didn't know what to include in my previous post. That, and I was in a hurry.

The backstory is revealed. Marika always stayed at home alone because of her weak body. And then, one day, she meets a little boy; Raku climbed the tree outside of her house. (They are so cute! Raku is so innocent.)

Later, when they are playing together in her room, Marika asks Raku what kind of girl he likes. As a little boy, he doesn't know what the meaning behind the question is. He randomly blurts out someone with long-hair.

Back to the present time, Chitoge, Kosaki, Raku, and Marika discuss about the promise. Marika confirms that they all (Chitoge, Kosaki, Raku) do not remember anything about the promise. They also show the keys to each other.

She says to them, "well, naturally, the promise is about marriage." 8D

She also brings up the fact that she and Raku had already kissed. 8D

There is too much to summarize in this chapter.


Here is Kosaki's reaction after she hears about their kiss.

It's the exact same thing as Rito from To-Love-Ru.

I actually like that even tough she may not be the "promise girl" and with everything happened with all the other girls, he still likes Onodera more. What's wrong with that? She was his crush for a long time and long before Chitoge and Marika showed up in his life (again)...you can't just turn off your feelings like a switch, especially in a long time crush.

I swear, people bitch if a character is indecisive but then bitch if a character already knows which girl he likes. Sure, Chitoge is obviously going to be the final girl, but she hasn't really done anything yet that trumps the years he's had a crush on Onodera.

Has Onodera EVEN done anything to warrant the crush he's had on her? My impression was always that he thought she was his promised girl, hence he had the crush on her. Not that he had the crush on her cause of any normal/natural reasons.

He only started considering her as possibly the promise girl at the start of the series, long after he got a crush on her.

You don't need a big reason to like someone, much less have a crush which to most teenagers come a dim a dozen. He has probably had a crush on Onodera for years...she's a very cute, kind and sweet kid, it's only natural that he would fall for her and the longer he stayed around her, the bigger the crush would get.
