I'm not a huge fan of the franchise but I love Goto-san, and I was wondering why she wasn't working more often. Very sad news - here's hoping she rests as long as necessary and makes a full recovery.

Here's hoping that she makes a swift and full recovery, though from what I read about her illness (it's apparently an autoimmune disease that caused trouble to her before), it could take a while.

Actually, her hospitalization could be part of the reason why HS4 is scheduled to air in the fall instead of earlier. Shaft can typically whip up something pretty quick, but maybe Shaft needs time to ensure Goto a steady recovery, first, and they may as well use the time to ensure better quality animation.

I'm split, terribly terribly split on this one. I would hate for them to replace her--Goto's voice IS Hiro for me, but "delays" often translate into abridged projects, or outright cancellation, if the producers think that too much time has passed. I desperately hope that redgrnbluylw is correct about the delay already being taken into concideration.

Nice! I must say that for almost all of the seasons I always loved the ed song, especially the first one (mebae drive) which is just amazing imho.

Honeycomb's OP and ED have been announced, and they're almost the same as every past season, with one difference. The main cast on the OP, marble on the ED. Only now, Nori and Nazuna sing the OP, too.

Well, well. I hope Hiro hasn't gained weight since Hoshimittsu. Miyako should know by now that her tummy is a... SENSITIVE area.

Hope it's just me, but coloring in the PV is a bit off. To be more specific, characters' skin color are a bit more yellowish/orange (usually it's pinkish/white) this time around especially noticable for Hiro, Nori, and Natsume.

I noticed that too and I'll chalk it up to the quality of the video that got somehow reduced along the way.

I'll add however that I've noticed a slight color shift along the seasons of Hidamari Sketch: the skin tones have been darkening slightly, probably due to better software available for the digital coloring, pure skill or even a conscious option by someone at Shaft.

I never thought that when I started following Hidamari back in 2007 that it would still be running to this day. Nori and Nazuna's presence can only add more to the cast dynamic, so I look forward to this. Shaft at their Shaftiest and an appreciation for the arts all around. That's the show I know and love.
