If kenpachi cut the ape into half, did he stick the ape back together with super glue to carry it there? And it wasn't split anywhere near evenly.

Anyway, likely the other guy will interrupt while Buckbeard goes on to look for Aizen.

She is probably going to pop up at some random point during the upcoming battle to keep #2 from getting between Buckbeard and Ken-chan. Expect her to pwn him utterly.

If he is to die off-screen then Kubo would have to kill at least half of the Sternritters with him. Nothing short of that will satisfy the readers. But that's not happening anyway. Ken-chan's is too important to die off-screen.

The translation may have something to do with it too, I remember it saying that Berenice had her throat ripped out and another said it was merely slit - yet her corpse didn't really reflect it.

speaking of translations, mpanda's version says that Berenice is female while the mstream translation says that Berenice is a male *tehe*

whatever the case, I hope Kubo won't switch back to HM as I really wanna see the fight between Yamamoto and Overkill since I wanna see his former lieutenant's bankai in action

also I don't think Kubo is mad enough to make Ken-chan loose....off-screen D:

I very much liked this chapter, but i could have done without the flashback. But if there was no flashback, then it would have been another too-fast paced action chapter. Am now confused

P.S. Btw, chapter name - "before the shadows" (at least in the translation that I've read).
Does that mean that next week we'll see Kenpachi fight vs that boss, since he's the one wielding this "shadow" power?
