I expect a Seto&Solva to make an appearance this chapter, but only to save Blade&co from Riru. Maybe they'll fight her so Blade and the others can move on and follow Arclight or perhaps just buy them enough time to let Yamada come up with some sort of tactic against Riru. I certainly don't expect to see the fight between them and Kafka&Uten anymore unless it's a very short flashback.

In a lot of situations where the good guys were in a pickle reinforcements were introduced to turn the tide. Seto&Solva are close by and even have powers which look like Riru's(ability to manipulate objects from a distance without touching those). I'd prefer to be surprised though and see Saten jump out and do something incredible or something.

That is highly unlikely with them in a pinch against Kafka and Uten themselves. Uten hit the nerves in Solva's arms, preventing the use of her hands and her magnetic world. Seth is stronger due to the eden seeds, but she is bassially the only one capable of putting up a fight against two strong opponents. TThey are still determining if Seth has stigmata or not, so they won't do anything drastic to her until then. Solva however is under no such protection they can get rid of her when the oppurtunity arises.

Saten being the man of mystery he is most likely won't appear in this battle. I can only see him jumping in when things are really drastic that Eve and Cruz's lives are in immediate danger like Riru going for a killing blow. Right now, she is just playing with Cruz and gang.

Ah, finally, Imai is finally starting to set up the scenario where, one day, Eve will fight Riru in a one vs one decisive fight to death. Right now the later is just having fun playing with here.

Besides the fact Eve has absolutely no way to win this without some kind of asspull, the only person I can winning this is Cruz with his fragment, or as a team

I just theorize what else Cruz could do with his power, every Needless shown in the series, they could use their powers both offensively and defensively, so Cruz should also have a offensive application.

I believe negating threats is only a side effect of his power and does something else.

After looking at the images from Jagabata again, noticed something interesting in them

Seems she's likening Psychokinesis to a combination of Gravity, Magnetism, and Fragrance. Saw the names of those three fragments and well as Seto, Solva, and Kuchinashi's names in the other picture. Guess it makes sense given the nature of those fragments and how psychokinesis works, though it's more than a sum of those parts seeing as it's able to negate Agnishwattas. Be kinda interesting how they try to figure out how to fight Riru given that she's stronger than 3 Needlesses in one.

Are you kidding highly unlikely things are the bread and butter of this series, it's filled with those. Plot twists depend on things which you don't see coming/ aren't expecting. And Saten(which was just an example I threw in without thought) could pull another one of his crafty tricks without immediately having him face Riru as an enemy.

Quite a difference with how Arclight found her at first, barely able to lift her giant fan and defend herself against Kafka's strings. Makes me wonder what Seto's powers will be like now. I'd be nice if she could negate gravity all together and launch her enemies into space.

I was reading a jp bbs and it seems they're discussing whether Riru could be part of the Eve-series. Together with the preview pics which Avesionne already posted here in which Disk is hinting Riru can even change the shape of someone(?) instead of just moving them around with psychokinesis this is getting mighty interesting. Well I guess if she can use Psychokinesis and stop molecules from vibrating maybe she can move those molecules around independently too? I don't have too much confidence in my ability to properly translate a jp bbs just yet so take this with a grain of salt. Just thought I'd mention it.

Very true . Unlikely things do end up happening in this manga in many shapes and forms, some for humor and others for story. Also, I agree Saten can do something other than face Riru if the situation called for it. If he does, it would be a very interesting thing to see. I doubt anything could get Riru's attention off of Blade and co. now other than a major catostrophe.

Right now actually if you want. I just picked up this month's issue of Ultra Jump and have looked over the manga once. First off, despite being another chapter around Cruz and friends (and not Seto/Solva or Girls Squad), the fighting in this chapter is very detailed and satisfying. Probably the best fighting chapter since Seto/Uten or even going as far back to Hatfield. Also a lot of fanservice but that's kinda expected when Cruz, Eve, and Disk have their skirts torn in half. A very enjoyable chapter, a step up from the past few in terms of entertainment.

As for the story content, here's the most significant thing we learned this chapter, a HUGE development for Riru:

Riru reveals her chocker which reads: "EVE.M". Thought it seems somewhat obvious now, I didn't expect her to be the Eve BEFORE Eve N. but to be the one after. Now that it's confirmed she is an Eve M, it makes her character so much more interesting, especially considering she was made before Eve N. This should easily be the most discussed point after the chapter since it raises the question about her being in BlackSpot 8, having Psychokinesis, not having Eden Seeds, etc, etc.

Black Hole Dust Angel is a pretty awesome attack (?)
As figured, Cruz's fragment neglects Psychokinesis (and it couldn't be at a better time, too)

So she is a member of the Eve project, but its strange that Guido didn't recognize her considering that was his main field, so coming before Eve must mean something. She was likely thrown out as Arclight was, before Eden Seed was injected in her as she was deemed a failure.


Also as I expected, Only Cruz really has a shot here, at least he plays a essential role, though Blade trying use his byakugo(the way you picture makes it seems), it still won't matter too much without a stigmata of his own.


Now that I think about, Riru might be cause of the accident that killed Kasumi.

Oooh! Thanks for the preview, unfortunately the raw is taking it's time to hit Share so anything which alleviates the tension of what's happening this chapter is a nice gift.

I'm a bit disappointed we don't get to see Seto&Solva(well, there's always the next chapter to wait and hope for, lol), but the incredible plottwist of this chapter sure makes up for that. Looking back Riru always did wear a choker so the truly tenacious hint seekers among us could have considered it.

Let's hope Yamada won't forget how to use his smarts.
