Then again, maybe lefties are just "more angry because the world is designed for the right-handed majority," says John Cloud in TIME.

3. They're more inhibited
That emotional wiring also may explain why righties tend to charge ahead, while lefties "tend to dither," according to behavioral psychologist Lynn Wright, as quoted in NewScientist. A study performed by Wright at Abertay University in Scotland found that lefties were more restrained and more worried about making mistakes.

Perhaps the designers were aware of that study and were able to cleverly integrate those attributes into Mio's character design. Typically, she's shy around most and only angry at Ritsu

Mio's appearance and attributes certainly endear her design to the audience, a clever bit on KyoAni's part: in the manga, her eyes are sharper and give her some resemblance to Kagami from Lucky Star, but that's probably just me.

Not to mention that some people speculated that Kakifly might be left-handed based on photos of his collection of instruments. It's possible he portrayed some of Mio's character from himself.

I'll see your speculation and raise you truth Scrolling through the K-On! Manga's first volume, Kakifly states that Mio is left handed because he is, and has expressed interest in doing a story about the troubles of being left-handed. Thus, that speculation is totally true. Of course, I've always wondered how some things work for lefties, like rifles and computer keyboard/mice setups, but I'm going off-topic

I was ok with that at first, but she was too static and didnt change. Thats when it got boring. But none of the main 4 change in the show, so thats no surprise.

I actually liked her at first b/c she tells everyone to practice. But then everyone stopped listening to her and she ended up just nagging, bleh.

Possibly, but the design there is a little too generic to tell by itself i think. Its just long black hair with blunt cut fringe on a generic head with an eye color I cant see.

Was there some other hint, like a bass or something?
