Maahh~ It's just that the way I'm doing things, suggesting Iori's reactions might not be due to Inaba/Taichi, feels alot like Inception... I even have to plant that idea so that it'll naturally grow

Synopsis:

――やばい现象が起こるんだって。

≪ふうせんかずら≫が五人に终わりを告げて四カ月。――その异変は、クラスメイトから起きた。唯 の友人 が太一たち文研部を见て、怯えるような态度を取りだす。さらに时折五人は、生徒の话し声が闻こえなくなると いう不思议な感覚に陥った。终わらない现象に落 胆しながらも『他人から敌视される、隔绝される现象』だと推测するメンバー。しかし、时を同じくして五人の 中では一时的な记忆の消失が起こり始めて……。 爱と青春の五角形コメディ。最终章、开幕。

Rough translation is that four months after Heartseed announced the end of phenomena for the CRC members, a new event started from among their classmates. Starting with Yui's friend (Yuna), their classmates are showing hints of an avoidance attitude towards the 5 club members. The group deducts that they might be under a new "isolation from people outside of CRC" phenomenon. Meanwhile, the 5 members are beginning to show signs of missing memories among themselves. Thus begins the final arc.

I am aware of the paranormal events that happen in each novel but not the love problem, or the identity or origin of Heartseeds

Heartseeds' origin is not known yet but is most likely going to be revealed in the coming, final arc.

As for your other request, do you mind a bit more specific in what you're looking for? I mean I can almost write 50 page worth of stuff for your current question

If you've seen the Anime, pretty much all of the major plot points of each volume have been covered by it already.

This isn't the kind of series that have secret expositions.

Let's just say the so called "triangle" hardly even existed. They were both mostly taking their leisure to tease Taichi together during Vol.3 Kako Random and that's about it. After the incident of Kako, Iori started questioning her own feelings towards Taichi and this "triangle in name only" dissolved right away. There were no drama over this particular issue, no arguments nor bitterness, nothing. Only friendly teases. Unless you count the one time during the events of Vol.4 Michi Rand when Iori (Broken) was acting extremely cold on purpose and said spiteful things to hurt Inaba.

Sounds too ideal to be true but I like how it worked out. It's already painful enough to watch them break from Heartseed's trolling anyway.

As for the two newbies' role:

Spoiler for Vol.6 Nise Random:

Chihiro is the primary antagonist and narrator of this volume. While Enjyouji is the second narrator. We see most of the events in this arc through their perspectives.

Heartseed started the 5th trolling phenomenon by giving Chihiro a power of "illusory projection." He spent most of this time trying to sabotage the original CRC members and being a woobie asshole, at least before he realized his mistake and redemption in Nise arc.

Enjyouji on the other hand, spents most of the first half of the arc being "passive" towards the situation, Heartseed actually approached her too but she initially rejected Heartseed's offer before the beginning of the arc. So she had a hunch of what's going on with Chihiro. When things finally gone horribly wrong, her guilt of herself not doing anything eventually drives her to accept Heartseed's offer and she used it to convince Chihiro to confess to the remaining CRC members.

Afterwards it's the standard "fixing" progression. I won't spoil the ending or resolution here but this is basically how the story went.

I should also add that, I feel that Chihiro's story in this arc serves as a prologue as well as one of the key factors for what's about to happen to Taichi in the next arc, Vol.7 Yume Random: What would happen if a person, who is at lost of his purpose, is given power?

Kokoro Connect Yochi Random isn't coming out until October.

The PSP Kokoro Connect game comes out in October, so I doubt anyone has played it, unless they got a Mirai Yochi.

That said, why was Chihiro so antagonistic? Basically, was he just dicking around or something?

...Why the hell would they even forgive him?
