Which reminds me, if incarnate system is what created Chrome Disaster, creating a will of its own, doesn't that mean that incarnate system can also override that desire if the desire is strong enough? Hence, in the end, Haru could tame Chrome Disaster and make it his own if his will is strong enough in the right direction.
Makes you wonder how the heck did they acquire those BIC's? Even if they are older mentally, they are still young physically. Do they have some connection to some black market for the BIC?

It will take a lot of will just to contain the CD's blood lust. Remember Haru's dream, looks like it is gaining a hold on Haru's psyche. It is only matter of time which was shortened a lot thanks to Noumi.

The tragic sadness is that, for all the NTR jokes*, Chiyu has consistently shown a great desire to be with Haru. But as others have pointed out, it's just too late for Chiyu now, as Haru has clearly dedicated himself to KYH. This is strongly evidenced by just how firmly and decisively he was able to turn down Chiyu's exceedingly clear sexual advances in this episode (this is obviously one time where Chiyu really was aiming to sexually arouse another cast member; obliviousness isn't the issue here). So I feel a bit sorry for Chiyu, because if she hadn't entered into an obvious fake romance with Taku, and had instead been more open with Haru before, she may well have been in a romance with Haru now (which is what she wants). But it's too late for that, so this is a sad case of missed opportunity for Chiyu. She's something of a tragic figure, really.
True. She's naive to think that nothing will change. Even if she was in love with Haru, she still desperately trying to maintain the three amigos despite being almost at the breaking point. If she just simply said that she Haru more, then they wouldn't be such a mess. Although it may break the original three amigos dynamic, at least they could rebuild from scratch and even stronger than the old one. Then again, Haru's issues in the beginning were not helping.

You're making no sense there. What would be there to protect Noumi *after* he was dragged away by the police and got his chip deactivated or removed? Nothing. Without the chip, he wouldn't be able to hide away anymore, so as soon as he would get online, he would be found, and then he'd get his ass kicked.

If Noumi gets dragged away by the police, he'll almost certainly also get expelled from school, which means... game over, Haru and Taku win, no further burst linking necessary in order to end the long Noumi nightmare. They'd win purely due to calling in the cops (and being a bit clever, admittedly).

My point is that, logical as this may be, it would also be a really lame way to end an arc with this amount of build-up and focus. Haru confronts Noumi because that's needed to set up this fight. I guess that in-canon it might make Haru look a bit needlessly risk-taking (which I suppose could be construed as arrogance), but at a meta level it's simply to make a better conclusion (which is why I don't think it says a lot about Haru).

Personally, I'll take Haru (and Taku) vs. Noumi (and Chiyu?) over Cops vs. Noumi.

Can anyone confirm me that in novel vol 4 , the article Haruyuki read only have Nerve Gear. When I watch anime, it sudden occupied to me, Kawahara said AC is an alter future of SAO. If this world didn't have Amu Sphere, maybe SAO incident this not happened. Then Asuna and Kirito did not meet each other and remain the way they are.

Oi, you're the one that's being confusing, Shima. Triple simply said the meta reason such a thing didn't happen is because that would be boring and anticlimatic; "The cops arrested Noumi, then Haru and Taku went home, drank Kool-Aid, and played the PlayStation 8." Not sure why you responded to that with an argument that concerns the story's internal logic.

What he's trying to say is that Noumi needs to be stomped out the old fashioned way.

Not counting the whole "stolen wings" thing maybe, sure.

Also, how would he even convince the police Noumi has a brain chip? "Yeah, there's this game we play that shows you online, but he doesn't show online, so he must have a chip!"

Those are good points, although I'm not sure if it's that important for Haru to get his wings back given the whole incarnate system and how (I think?) he still has that jetpack.

Still, you've provided two good in-canon reasons for Haru not going to the cops, so there you go: Haru confronting Noumi with what he's discovered is clearly the best way for Haru to handle this both in-canon and at a meta level.

Yeah, but Haru promissed to return Sky Raker's jetpack. Which means he wants his Aviation ability back...unless he doesn't care anymore and just wants to kick Noumi out of the Accelerated World
Haru (and Taku) chose to solve this as Burst Linkers for that reason, it's their problem, so they'll solve it themselves.

Well, there's also another reason; it's not necessarily a "good" reason, but it's the one they've used in the show. It's a matter of "the honourable warrior". Settling disputes in the Accelerated World is what honourable Burst Linkers do. Of course, Noumi scoffs at this because a) he has no honour, and b) he doesn't consider himself a Burst Linker like them. This is also the sort of reason why Haru and Taku sort of stubbornly believe they have to try to settle this on their own before Kuroyukihime gets back (as FlameSparkZ alluded to above); it's an odd sort of warrior pride, in addition to not wanting to put her at risk.

I don't know if the current path is necessarily the best one objectively speaking, but it is the most suitable from their perspective. If Noumi is the type of person who manipulates the real world to get what he wants in the virtual world (and vice-versa), then Haru and Taku can't play that game. This whole arc is basically about fighting "fair and square", as it were.

Most likely Haru or rather Taku since Haru's name has been slandered would tell the administration who will investigate it because it is a serious allegation. Gets out a hand held scanner/metal detector or whatever they have in the future. Noumi gets found out his names is ruined and as consequence his video wouldn't mean jack because they'll know he's a lying snack and nothing he says should be taken seriously.

Unless the school administration is as stuck up as mine was back when I went to school and try to get rid of both of them both so they won't have to figure out whose lying about the photo because they don't have to deal with a double scandal.

However now that I think about it they wouldn't even need Noumi to tell them anything if he just sends the photo to them anonymously...wow this really is a stale mate...

Have you heard of Photoshop? You know, Noumi could just have easily did the equivalent of forging Haru's presence.

Except when forensics studies the footage, they will be able to figure out it is a fake.

What about the image mask program that Noumi used? It looks very advanced that it may fool the forensic experts.

I can;t see all of it being wrapped in 2 episodes. Does it mean we will get season 2 or everything will be left hanging?

Well, this particular arc will almost certainly end with end of this season, but there is a lot more to the original story. Whether it will get a second season obviously isn't announced yet, but I don't see why not.

For every advance program created by people who will abuse it, there will be just as advance or more advance programs that law enforcement/military will develop to counter it. It has been that way for awhile now, so I don't see why it won't be that way in the future.

That said, do you really think an advanced forensic team is going to investigate a minor middle school incident?

It depends on if law enforcement will be involved. If it is linked to Noumi and his brain chip implant, then this could get investigated as well.

As thundrakkon said, they will most likely investigate just how Noumi still had an active BIC after all these years, considering it should have been deactivated a couple of years (if not decades) ago.
