According to the official website, the opening theme will be performed by the late singer Ritsuko Okazaki, while the ending theme will be performed by SUNEOHAIR.

Explanations why Okazaki is chosen to perform the opening theme :
The opening theme "friendship ~for Suki-tte Ii na yo." is a version of the late Ritsuko Okazaki's "friendship" song, previously performed by other artists for Love Hina. It will be part of a collection album that will ship on November 7.

You couldn't do any better than Kayano Ai and Sakurai Takahiro, in my opinion. They are both outstanding seiyuus with beautiful voices.

And I totally trust Satou Takuya (directed Ichigo Mashimaro, Steins;Gate) and Aketagawa Jin (the absolute top sound director) to direct them to the right voices.

To top that, I like the manga. I am all over this one.

I like the designs, despite the fact that they lose a certain aspect of the originals. I think that fleshy fullness might have been too hard (and expensive) to repeat. And anyway, I didn't altogether love the look.

The key promos really weren't doing it for me but this trailer looks pretty good. For me, the thing that Suki-tte Ii na yo really needs is execution that will make miles better than the manga. Good execution can pull this thing into something like Bokura Ga Ita (the trailer really reminded me of it).

Still, it's not like I actually like the manga itself. . . I'm just really banking on the anime elevating this into something else (and the rather high quality staff can do this).

Gonna put the following in a spoiler just in case, but it's not really one. Just trying to portray what people should expect:

Oh my! This is getting animated.. I never would have imagined it 2-3 years ago.. Haven't been following the recent chapters but I did find it adorable.. And it tickles my inner romantic and my "crushing for spunky girls"-mode!

I was pretty impressed with this first episode.

I don't think it'll have as much crossover appeal as, oh say, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, but the carefully understated mood and direction reminded me (in a good way) of the Hana Yori Dango anime.

So this is another one without a stream? The fall series have disappointed in that respect.

We have 3 shoujo this season and only 1 has gotten a stream.

I've not seen HanaDan but visually this reminded me a lot of the serious moments of KareKano - all those beautiful backgrounds (well, when there weren't any buildings in shot!) and the split screen conversations in particular.

This was the shoujo series I was expecting the least out of - Kaibutsu-kun had entertaining PVs and Kami-sama has Daichi directing - but all three of them have had good first episodes. That's much better than the usual batting average!

The first episode was totally what I was expecting it to be, the design and voices behind Mei and Yamato were on point, and the visuals were pretty good to look at. We've covered the first chapter of the manga and it followed it pretty well, so problems there, and the first kiss scene was truly well done.

Will definitely continue this because I like and enjoy the manga and I'm enjoying the adaptation so far.

Meh, I don't think they're doing too well with this anime. The first chapter of the manga has a lot more personality. The art style for the anime is sort of "normalized" and the guy seems more standard "nice guy" than the quirky character that appears in the first chapter (and his interest in her seems more inexplicable). They made some subtle changes here and there to make everything more boring. His friend was actually teasing her insistently knowing who she was in the manga, but here it just looked like she kind of over-reacted for no reason.

What a beautiful first episode. I love the theme and interactions they have, even if it felt a little predictable and forced. I get a sense that there will be some elements of Peach Girl in this series, so I've already felt sorry for Mei. Hopefully, it won't go too far in that route, since it was painful enough to watch it once.

Well, I look forward to seeing it develop and unfold. The character designs are also great.

Well one of the series themes are relationships and the ups and downs regarding it. I'm sure it'll lead to good character and story development as long as they do it right in terms of situations that provides such development that doesn't seemed forced. I've read the manga and the flow and everything felt natural, at least to me.
