Yeah, but Madan no Ou is LN, and everything is explained by words, including the violence. That's what make the violence feels more 'real' than in manga.

Not really. Using words to explain something is no different than using illustrations; what matters is the manner of presentation. The war accounts and battle progress are presented in the manner of a formal report, with a few adjectives strewn here and there depending on the impression of the one overseeing the battle. None too glorifying about violence.

But he said in BT Forum that he won't continue translating this series. Seems like he got a hard time in translating the names. Even i, who can only relying on chinese translation (simpilified chinese though), got my brain messed up by author choices of name (It's really weird when you see names such as Sakstein, Zchted, or territorie, btw i'm not sure those names are right or not). If only he made official romaji for each name.

He really sad that he will not translate it, because of it's hard terms/names. I was just hopping that someone else may do it.

I'm pretty sure this is the real reason why Vanadis' manga isn't being translated.

It's being published on a relatively unknown manga on a monthly basis. I can't remember how far it's progressed right now, but it's definitely passed Volume 2, if I remember it right.

The naming issues come after people find out about the manga and decide to scanlate it, hahaha.

Probably you're right, i couldn't even find it in chinese translations (it's very surprising, since they usually release faster than english speaking translations e.g. mangafox)

Unfortunately. The comic series that's publishing it is so unknown that digging up scans for it is very much difficult (but nowhere near impossible). Which is a shame, because the manga could help sate the appetites of those looking forward to Vanadis on its own, as it seems to be a faithful adaptation (though it's still a compressed adaptation, much like any other manga adaption of an LN).

Well, only Zhcted, Eleonore's country, has the 7 Vanadis. As to which country is the strongest...

Pre-Roland's demise, it was definitely Brune. He was strong enough to act as a sort of nuclear deterrent against the other countries wishing to invade Brune, such as Sachstein and Muozinel. While Zhcted does indeed have the 7 Vanadis (and it's definitely no question that, should they work together as a unified force, the 7 Vanadis would be a force to reckon with), Zhcted's king, Victor, has spent too much time playing the Vanadis against each other because of his own insecurities that they pose little threat.

Post-Roland's demise and Volume 5's contents considered...politically, it would still be Brune. Tigre has managed to establish friendly relations with Zhcted; he is now formally recognized as a hero by the King of Brune and by extension the entire country; Muozinel's general has even proclaimed Tigre's prowess as that similar to Roland's, even if it was just to save face; he is known to have cooperated with, and holds friendly connections with at least three known Vanadis, with Elizabetha sending a messenger to establish ties with him. Not to mention, his bow's full potential has yet to be unlocked; I suspect that element will come into play only once all seven Vanadis are gathered/have fallen for him. Considering all that, Brune is a very powerful country due to Tigre's influence, position, and recognition. (Take note that this answer is based off whatever information I have gathered from the jp wiki and spoilers, as I myself have not read up to Volume 5 yet)

But considering that there are other mysterious, non-human elements at work, I suspect that the story has yet to really begin. I think it's about to start scratching the surface of the story that Kawaguchi Tsukasa is really itching to write...and I am completely excited for this series' future.

It seems that way, but here's the thing!

Tigre has the cooperation of four Vanadis for now (if we count in Elizabetha's request for a political connection with Tigre). And he's already proven himself to be a very competent leader and an excellent sniper. So the question then becomes: what kind of enemies would Tigre and company have to face now such that they become a threat equal to or surpassing their caliber? Speculating the possibilities alone is already getting me excited!
