I believe not since he will have to usurp the authority from <Steel> gods or goddesses but so far Godou only usurp authority from Verethragna which is a Persian god of light, victory and fire . There is no mention of him relate to steel anywhere.

The new update in vol 8 gives us an actual definition of <Steel>.

Spoiler for By Alec:

Verethragna most definitely fits.

They were born for battle

Verethragna was born as a god of light that protects travelers, through his might he won the atribute of victory and was revered as a war god.

VERETHRAGNA is a god of war and battle, and is the giver of victory. Which one could imply to mean military might. However, I think Alec just meant war god, rather than those being necessary attributes.

He had the ten forms from the beginning, including the warrior, so I think it still counts. Regardless, Heretic Verethragna was most definitely born for battle, since there seems to be some difference between original and heretic forms of gods.

Well it has been said that [war] and [steel] are diferent attributes and it has also been said they are [swords] that were crated for battle.

Although heretic he remained as a god of [victory] and [protection] even when his others authorities were stripped from him. As was shown by the remain of the [warrior] and the [wind]

I doubt v-san is actually a steel God. I mean, weakness toward extreme heat is supposed to be also a common point for steel god, but v-san can summon a freaking sun and not melt.

He was killed by the sun, though...

After being weakened severely from using two swords and fighting mel-jiisan's weapon. Anyway, we'll never know for sure until it's addressed by the author, but IMO, v-san is not one due to lack of connection with any kind of steel from what we've shown so far.

I think his power to summon a sun comes from him being the guardian/servant of mitra, the god of light who is also the incarnation of the sun, so Verethragna and the sun have a pretty deep relationship with each other. So it's cause of that relationship that the sun don't harm him and he is able to use that power(?)
If steel have the definition of
Spoiler for LN:

Then i guess Verethragna have that aspect, as he is also know as the "Persian warlord."

So far the only Campione that normal people (normal people as in non magicians) can kill is Goduo.
Not much of a threat as a devil king if he can use any of his powers on normal people.
Can't he just use [Ram] when he's being beaten and ought to die?

Ram just heals Godou when he's at a near death situation, it's not really meant for fighting? so there's not really a point to that except for saving his life at critical times. Even though the author describes Godou as "a protagonist who only have "Ultimate attacks"", the condition for all his abilities is not meant to use on normal people. I guess he can still use the "camel" if he suffered enough injuries against normal people tho

Basically, if he's being beaten up by normal people and he's going to die by it, I think it can still be considered as a near death situation.

In that mode he will be vulnerable for a few hours, and I'm sure the normal people can just kill him at the time, it won't help much unless someone go and rescue him.

I knew pretty much that, I was just asking if [Ram] really was applicable.

It's any near death situation, so I would have to say yes.

No problem, by the way, why didn't Verethragna use [Ram] when Godou defeated him? I think he could have used it, but didn't.

And 1 more thing. Ram activated near death. We can just assume that white stallion killed v-san instantly, hence no time to use the ram.
