Suggest a good yet simple browser RPG...

Title says it all. Can't play Dragon Nest SEA properly due to the freaking DCs and lag.

Thanks.

EDIT: Oh, one more thing. I don't play RTS-type browsers. I don't have time to maintain my virtual town, and I suck balls at it.

I'm not sure it's correct to call this thing an RPG -- the creators call it a "Co-op fantasy MMO shooter" -- but it's fantasy-themed and your character(s) level up and can collect items and stuff.

Basically you join a world alongside any number of players and go kill monsters to get stronger until, when enough monsters die, every active player gets teleported for a massive dungeon final boss fight. Death is permanent though and you'll have to climb up from level 1 again if you die.

It's fast-paced and super addictive.

I played something like that before. It was awesome.

Thanks.

There's always the old classics from the 90s: MUDs. While most are ghost towns these days, I believe Gemstone is still going fairly strong. Think text-based MMOs that were the precursors to today's MMOs.

Or, The Kingdom of Loathing.

I personally like Monster Den. Mardek looks interesting, but I haven't played it.

Mardek series is nice, realm of the mad god is awesome. Arcuz starts out promising but ends up being a HUGE dungeon crawl where you take a wrong turn and die because of the horrible power scaling. Monster's Den is good, there's two of them to play with (book of mages and chronicles).

As for my own suggestions, check out Kongregate's adventure/RPG section. The Epic Battle Fantasy series is one of my favourites.
