Too much fanservice actually deviates from the good writing and events that unfold. Also, most of those fanservice moments are in character and have pretty good scenes and circumstances involving them, not just thrown in. Personally, the amount of fanservice involved is just about right. I don't want it taking over the flow and pacing of the story just for some cheap boobs and asses or whatever.

Kah, you're right, i was just overobsessed with fanservice. Currently i stumbled on Volume 3, but i was wondering why volume 1 and 2 ended in cliffhanger.

The first arc regarding Brune's inner turmoil ends in Volume 5, and sets up the teaser and hook for the second arc beginning in Volume 6 onwards. As to what it will involve, no idea.

Well, there are people with incredibly inhuman reflex who can slice a non-lethal bullet in half without seeing, catching arrow might be possible if they know beforehand where the arrow will land, at the price of their hand...

Arrow from a bow can't match arrow from crossbow in term of destructive force or speed, same as how it's impossible to compare them to a gun, or a rifle.

You have the point there, but this is merely fiction work. Anything could happen as long as the author wants it.

Well, arrow from a bow indeed stronger and faster than crossbow, but have less accuracy, not to mention that crossbow capable of firing several arrows at once.

As well as see how Elen would react once her Vanadis best friend starts getting all chummy with her property, heh. Probably not going to be pretty, judging by how she reacts to Mila or Sophia's displays of affection towards Tigre.

Such a lucky guy. Tigre is slowly building his harems where all of them are princesses. At least i wanna see Alexandre in action, especially her dual blade fighting (I became obsessed with dual wielding after watching episode 9 of SAO)

Vanadis named Valentine made her appearance. I never thought she would be daring enough to sneak into Tigre tent when he's sleeping. At first she intended to examine him closely while he's sleeping, but getting sexually harassed by him in his sleep instead

A character with brain but absolutely no brawn like him could make our superpowered protagonists look like a complete fools, which make me pissed to no end. Judging from his speech, seems like he got some 'hidden agenda' behind his sleeve. Gah, just make him died already! I've got enough with complete bastard like him!

After the encounter against the Muozinel troops, Tigre and Geralt (Viscount Ojie's son, the lord of Territoire and one of Tigre's Brune supporters since Volume 2) discuss among themselves what to do with the two thousand civilians they've just rescued. With a lack of food supply and shelter in the surrounding area, they decide to evacuate all of the civilians to Territoire. As Tigre gives the order down to Geralt to prepare for their next move, Rurrick comes in composed but shaken by something, and asks to speak with Tigre urgently.

In private, Rurrick then breaks the news he's gathered from the Muozinel prisoners they managed to capture from the earlier skirmish; the troops they fought earlier were just a vanguard, with the main force moving in behind them. Tigre is already surprised by the news, but is completely floored when Rurrick mentions that the main force is 30,000 strong. Counting the 10,000ish vanguard Muozinel troops remaining, it would be wise to assume that they would end up going against 40,000 troops, with only their 1,000ish number.

Geralt suggests retreating in order to save their hides (in a subtly insulting manner directed to Tigre), and Rurrick decides he's had enough of the lad testing Tigre all this time. Rurrick punches Geralt and asks him how long is Geralt going to continue testing Tigre (Geralt has been doing it all this time since before the first guerrilla attack), to which Geralt replies that this was the last occasion. He wanted to judge whether or not Tigre would, for the sake of protecting Alsace, abandon Territoire; after all, considering Tigre's circumstances (a lowly noble who's only good with the bow, allied with foreign forces at that and now branded a rebel), other people (those being Brune) would be just as wary of him. Tigre sees where he's coming from and agrees, and Geralt is thankful for Tigre's consideration.

Before dawn breaks, Tigre's troops and the 2,000 civilians begin their evacuation. It proceeds slower than Tigre had initially anticipated, due to exhaustion and fatigue taking it's toll on everyone. Just then, a scout arrives with news that Muozinel troops numbering around 3-4 thousand have appeared and are on the way to crush Tigre's troops while they make their retreat. Wasting no time, Tigre immediately leaves command of the operation to Rurrick as well as asking for his remaining arrows. Rurrick tells Tigre to at least take some men with him, and Tigre rushes off with ten men following him.

Tigre spots the Muozinel troops in march, stops his horse and begins firing with his Zhcted troops following his lead. Muozinel troops attempt to fire back but cannot land a hit on Tigre's troops, as the wind is blowing from Tigre's back towards the Muozinel forces' direction (the ONLY advantage Tigre has during this encounter). Tigre is completely desperate to stop them at this point, and while he's taken down a soldier with every arrow he's fired so far, the Muozinel troops show no intent of slowing down.

If this continues, they'll just storm past us and pursue Rurrick and the civilians...!

At that exact moment, a large galloping of horses thundered out of nowhere, with Tigre thinking that it would be enemy reinforcements. The advancing Muozinel troops, noticing the approaching sound of horses booming from the top left cliff to them, stops.

Zhcted troops suddenly rush out of nowhere, four thousand strong and the banner of the black dragon flying high and mightily, in the space between Tigre's small band and the Muozinel forces. Led by a girl with short blue hair cut around her shoulder, a sharp and frosty glint in her eyes, wearing blue robes, and a spear in her hand. She leads her horse directly in front of Tigre, and with a mischievous smile she greets him.

"It's been a while, Tigreveuremeud Volan."

I love reading things with accompanying music to fit the mood.

Not only did I love Lyudmila's appearance, but I also love how she plays with him later on (like a cat playing with a cornered mice) during their negotiation. Hahaha. She's definitely got some plans for some husband weaning...

Plus I am definitely laughing my ass off right now as to how the Viralts treat Tigre. Elen's Viralt, much like her master, is friendly and on good terms with Tigre. Lyudmila's Viralt, on the other hand, is jealous of Tigre because of her interest in him. Hahahaha.

The original illustrator for the lightnovel became ill. Thats why the manga illustrator for the Madan no Ou to Vanadis replaced him.

Yes. Her spear exudes this hostile coldness at Tigre, compared to Elen's long sword, which sends out winds that caress Tigre.
