I believe that we can assume that they exist.

In the second arc, it's fairly clear that ALO isn't the only virtual world out there. It, however, is high quality and based on the SAO system - which implies that there are games that aren't.

Nobody would use the world seed if it was a complete black box - but if it isn't it can be modded and hacked. If it can be modded and hacked, then people would be using it for p0rn.

Well that is the web novel version. Pretty sure that the author would like to make changes here and there that didn't match up his expectations, including fixing the plot holes.

It's referring to the actual human brain or rather how long the brain can remain alive

They did if you see the SS of the UW afterward. But so far nope and it's still uknown whether the others will dive or not in the main story.
