I'm actually curious to see what powers the Black Bow still hides. Someone comented in this thread some pages back that Tigre summons a Black Dragon with the Bow in Volume 05. Can someone confirm this.

No, he did not master it. He merely "activated" the bow by himself. In response to Tigre's despair, the bow started vibrating and the next thing we know, boom. The original spoiler is an even earlier post. Like the spoiler tag says, that was an addition to the original.

I don't remember if it was stated before much about the dragons, but there are only 2 kinds right? So is a "black dragon" a normal one or first time seen??

So, what's the ability of his "activated" bow? Is it still the same with the initial ability albeit with power-up or something else?

As of Volume 5, four types of dragons have been revealed. The big lumbering earth type, flying type, fire breathing type, and huge two headed type.

Black dragons are particularly rare and very uncommon. In the founding legend of Zhcted, it was said that the first king and founder was a Black Dragon in human form; hence, Vanadis are expressly forbidden to kill Black Dragons (not just out of law but because of tradition).

I've thought about that too, but I think it's unlikely. Seeing as this series like mindblowing events, I think it's gonna be even more awesome than that.

I guess it would be boring, since all readers must have predicted that kind of thing coming. If the author really eager to continuing his series for a long run, then he have to make it unpredictable or "WTF", to make readers interest keep increasing.

I think someone mentioning that there are 2 characters who are too strong that they can toy around with the vanadis.

One of them is Roland (Ellen + Sophie + Tigre).

Another one in volume 4 (Ludmira + Tigre).

Could that one from vol. 4 be Voljenoj?

If you're talking about the frog dude, then yeah, ludmira and Tigre needed to join together. That was the incident where Tigre's bow drew upon Mira's ice. That said, he's not a powerhouse that stands above everyone. Unlike Rolland's fight with the other 2, Mira could hold her ground against the frog. In his fight, Rolland was just dominating with one hand. Rolland truly does stand out above everyone. He is a true hax.

That battle and the rematch are still the most jaw-dropping battles featured yet in this series. I'd love to see how Kawaguchi Tsukasa would surpass the sheer awesomeness quotient of both those battles in the second arc. Everything that just went on was sheer crazy awesome.

Also, I find it amusing that Drachvach's Veda-cancelling chains on both the fire-breathing and twin-headed dragons, while initially impressive, backfired so horribly. All it did was just buy some time for Tenaldie's troops while prolonging the suffering and deaths of those dragons.

It's definitely a good thing for Valentina that she didn't have any hostility towards Tigre when she peeped on him sleeping. Still didn't save her from being his third unconscious sekuhara victim though.

According to the murals found under one of the temples dedicated to Mossha in Artecium: for some unknown reason, the Dragons and the Gods declared war on each other long, long ago. The Dragons utterly decimated the gods, whether it be on the surface, in the heavens, even in the underworld. As the Dragons could cause harm to Gods, they were very much feared by the pantheon. In an attempt to convince the Dragons (Tigre noticed the image of a three-headed dragon at this point), three goddesses descended in order to persuade them to cease hostilities.

Their pantheon consists of ten gods, six male and four female. The female ones are; Goddess of Wind and Storms Eris; Goddess of the Earth Mossha; Goddess of Harvest and Desire Yariilo; and (everyone should know her by now) Goddess of Death and Night Tir na Fa. The first three were the ones who went to convince the Dragons to cease hostilities.

Brune's founder, Charles, after having received the divination from the Gods to become King in what is known as Artecium, went to Lubellon Mountain where he received from the seireis Durandal the sword and his steed Baaru in order to fight against Dragons in the future.

Still reading as I go along, but seeing as fairy tales are most definitely not just fairy tales in the world of Vanadis...the second act of the story is definitely going to be very interesting.

The Goddess of Night and Death, Tir na Fa was mentioned to hold an antagonistic relationship with the God of Day and the Sun (essentially the lead god of the pantheon, and thus is most likely hostile with every other god). Most believers of their pantheon would rather not mention her name in their prayers, much less even think of her (here's a genius bonus; if you have studied Greek mythology and religion, the in-series treatment of Tir na Fa is very much identical to how the Greeks viewed and treated Hades). There are barely any temples or worship for Tir na Fa.

Tir na Fa is not a kind nor gentle goddess. When she revealed her presence to Tigre in her temple (in Volume 3), she tested him by using Tita as a hostage and challenging Tigre to shoot an arrow at Tita. "If you crave power so much, show me just how far your determination goes, and I shall reward you with what you seek", essentially testing Tigre's resolve and character (to see if he would be willing to throw away even those important to him for the sake of power). It was after Tigre barely passed her test that she showed him the vision of his ancestor using the Black Bow's power to destroy an entire city with just one shot at the cost of his ancestor's life (if you want it in RPG terms, the Black Bow consumes HP to deal damage, if that makes it easier to imagine).

Tir na Fa then mentioned that Tigre is still far away from using that level of the bow's power. Her parting words to Tigre before her presence disappears is that he should choose a better appointment with her; such as, say, in the midst of the darkest night atop a great many corpses (hint hint as to why Tir na Fa isn't exactly the most-loved Goddess in their pantheon) and that she is looking forward to the day Tigre finally makes the bow his (still far away).

The goddesses were also mentioned to be associated with an item regarding their divinity (from when they saw the above mentioned wall murals). Eris, for example, she is associated with a hunting horn. Guess what Tir na Fa is associated with? Here's a hint: it's a type of weapon a certain male character is very much proficient with.
