Currently Kawahara only writes side stories in his website once a while. And most of the side stories became materials for the main series (Caliber, Murder Case) and Progressive series (Aria, Rondo etc.).

Well, the way Alicization ends feels very much like the end. It would be so anticlimactic to pull off another arc after that. But who knows....

May I know what is the name of the "another chapter" you were talking about? I am still not convinced that there was another chapter after Alicization in the web novel. I just checked Kawahara's website, apart from the halted side story "Cradle of the Moon", I didn't see anything SAO related stories anymore.

I agree with you

I just double check the file, it is indeed a prologue.

Anyway, this doesn't necessarily means he was planning to write a whole new arc. Maybe he was, but if this is all there is hinting about it, I'm personally not convinced. Just my two cents really. And I'm biased, since I don't really want another arc anyway. =P

This is way too much to take in at 3 AM.

As for a new arc...I doubt it. Side Story volume ALA Vol. 2 and 8 on the other hand considering Alicization to be as long as SAO...

I've talked to tomtkp about that prologue before, I think.. Well, if it's the right one I'm thinking about, that is. Calling it a 'prologue' instead of an 'epilogue' could just be a clever way of saying that their story is not ending, but just beginning. And I don't mean that there'll be more arcs to come, but rather that their lives go on and etc. *shrug*

There is the resolution to their personal problems to deal with as well. Mainly so do they still want to get married and have a happy life together.

I believe they have already expressed what they want in that respect. We really don't need to see more to know they will get married and such, specially after all they've gone through together. It's all part of the package.

Of course. In fact Alicization reinforces their relationship.
