I've got two Naruto question:
first: I never understood what happened in the order of Hokages. You had the first and second, then came the third, then fourth and then third again? Was the third reinstated when the fourth died or something? Was this ever explained in the manga?

second of all: I'm currently watching the anime again, loving it but sadly: catching up. I've seen up until episode 248 now, is there a point coming up where I can stop again for a while and collect some new episodes again or does the story go on as strong as it is now?

If it was spelled out in a specific chapter, I sure as hell don't remember. But it doesn't seem like something that really needs an explanation since it's pretty much exactly as you assumed. The 4th died so since the 3rd was still alive, he came out of retirement.

I'll let someone else answer your second question.

Never mind, decided to "stop" after the 260 filler. I figure that shit hits the fan from now on and that this arc will take a lot of episodes to complete. So the time to collect the new eps has started again :-(

Of the recent episodes, 279, 280 and 281 were filler. Episodes 284-288 will also be war-related filler.

random question, but what did akatsuki need all the money for that kakuzu was in charge of gathering? they didn't really need to buy anything from what i can tell... maybe a stockpile of robes? =/

they needed money to finance the organization and it's members, the akatsuki members don't go around making money from themselves, so they probably get funds for their expense like living,food, clothing,weapons, gear etc, also from this.
i can see this only way it fits in

but that seems unnecessary. when you have powers like akatsuki has, then why bother buying any of those things? they can either make them with their powers or steal/take them with their powers. its not like theyre above stealing food or genjutsuing a bunch of cooks to prepare meals all day. they are a bunch of murderers who kill/collect bounties for their money... which they dont even really need as far as i can tell

I always assumed it was for Nagato to fix Ame (what with him destroying it and all). The rest of the funds could have been used for the multiple spies and other lower level agents. And sometimes it is easier, and better long term, to simply grease a few palms rather than kill all who oppose you. Then again, it could have just been busy body work for Kakuzu
