Not sure why you guys are hating. Do you insult picture books for having simple plot?

Obviously, I don't like the series, but I've given up hating on its lack of well thought out writing long ago.

Simple =/= ridiculous. Plus, I don't appreciate the fact that it treats itself seriously because it makes the series vulnerable to intense criticism regarding concepts and the flow of story. What happened to the Armed Prosecutors? What happened to the other types of Butei? What's with the 100 kinds of Hysteria Mode? There are too many concepts that have been thrown away, and more concepts were added, and some of those concepts should have been used creatively instead of introducing a new one. And Sun Wukong with laser-eye beams!

I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who wonders about why this series, with its "problems with world-building and metaphysics" so jarring that most readers would notice it.

Just hate it. I'm arguing for why you shouldn't, but you can just ignore me and hate it anyways.

Obviously, HnA is doing something right to have a large fanbase. It doesn't have to make the whole world love it, just enough people.

Regarding this series though, I've been keeping up with all the recent developments and personally I just find them hilarious.

Did the author have a change of heart and just decided to write a gag novel instead?

I honestly don't know what this something is. But as long as it doesn't reach the level of the more famous light novel series, then it's okay for me.

Vol12 has finished being translated in Chinese. I am tempted to go 'Worst. HnA Volume. EVER.' on this... Vol10 had bad development, but at least it wasn't full of holes like this volume.

Spoiler for Vol12 rant: Apart from the ones I've already said, ch5 had the author doing cheap shots on Chinese blades/products being mass-produced and unreliable. The 'Go for the next' section is no better, with Riko buying a building out of nowhere, Shirayuki in tsun-mode fighting Wukong evenly with a spear when Kinji had to use the 'Sakura' + 'Autumn Water' technique (the combination that allows him to catch bullets with his bare hands) just to keep his arms attached to his body against Wukong's monstrous strength[1], Wukong suddenly have a pair of panties on her when 3 minutes ago in that fight she didn't have any on, and finally Wukong going One Winged Angel on Kinji. [1] Though having said that, it appears Wukong is wary against Shirayuki because her ancestors sealed the last scarlet irokane deity and she's powerful against youkai. Whether this is adequate reasoning is debatable. Author's afterword, he mentioned this is part one of two. Fine, I guess this is acceptable... But then he went and said he have no idea how to write it so Kinji stands a chance against Wukong's laser eyes and hopefully he'll think of something by the next volume. I really hope he's kidding about this >.< beep this. If HnA fails this hard next volume as well I'll probably drop this series.
