Its seriously not that hard to figure out; I don't know about the original LN, but essentially the brother had a life here already before the sister came in, and that life includes a owning a dorm and being part of the Student Council which doubles as his harem. The others didn't so much as 'just transferred in', rather they've already been settled in before the sister arrives.

How can he have a life as part of the student council if he just transferred to that school? Maybe I misunderstood something though and he's been there all along, just that his class changed and he doesn't know anyone in his new class? I mean if they've all been there all along it makes sense but from the dialogue I somehow got a completely opposite impression.

No need to think the plot too seriously. This is the type of show where you just turn off your critical thought processes and sit back and enjoy the cute girls swarming the MC mercilessly.

What I'm thinking is that since they haven't given us a timeline- The brother first transferred into the school, then maybe a month or two later the sister moved in.

Of course, I'll wait for a better one first before passing final judgement, this current one had a bad history.

(I'm being vague because the show is licensed so we can't talk about certain things)

Yeah ... well ... after ep 2 I think I will indeed put this series on the back burner for now - too many other things to follow and not enough time and all that.

Haha I knew someone would say that. But even if the show is all about the harem it still has to be internally consistent to some degree otherwise the mind revolts even when you turn it off. We'll see how it turns out in the end though. For what it's worth, I do like the sister antics and especially the twist with her being a fan of her brother's books (although there's a major sense of deja vu here).

About all the things related to disconnections: My guess is that every member of the school council (except possibly Anastasia) already knows Akito, with Akito and Gin being the two transferees. With this in consideration, most likely the resident predator Arashi manipulated things so Akito can run the dorm, and also somehow got the dorm members into the school council. As for Akiko: She moved into the dorms after learning of Akito's transfer.

The antics would be entertaining at first but if I was brutally honest it would get REALLY awkward, REALLY fast. Akiko is the type that if you give her a hand she'll gleefully take the entire arm.

In case you're curious, I do have an actual sister, a younger one at that.

Well, her only problem (or flaw, if you like) so far - haven't seen ep2 yet - is that she talks a lot, and in a too fast-paced manner. A thing that could easily and quickly get on my nerves. I'm a person who value peace and silence, after all. I'd say she first needs to chill down a bit, and then I will be more than willing to welcome her in my life/house.

And, uh yeah... She definitely needs to get rid of that "creepy" smile too.

...in my defense, these kind of sisters does not exist in real life, they are a different mythical species, and just happens to be grouped along with normal sisters.

I don't have a sister, but I'd think I'd get very irritated, very fast.

I'd take the Cute Stalker Semi Yandere. At least she has her head largely screwed on straight, with a very appealing personality, instead of the other two.
