So, since one Weeping Angel survived, and the Doctor didn't kill it, that means that we still have something with them in the future? Btw, I still don't understand why that one angel was smiling.

The Angels have been 11ths biggest enemy so I know we havent seen the end. I think the one was smiling since it somehow knew theyd win. Creepy smile even worse then theyre normal scary face. I wonder why they wanted Rory over Amy, River or The Doctor. The one didnt send River back in time.

Maybe they wanted the Doctor to suffer from loosing more companions?

American television shows only last (at most) 12-22 episodes. Additionally, Dr. Who is one of the few BBC programs that has more than 6-7 episodes per season.

I didn't really read anything extra in the Angels actions. Besides the angel at the end (that specifically targeted Rory), the creatures just seemed to be nesting and feeding in a central location. In fact, the doctor has been mostly erased from history, so there is no real reason to assume that the Angels knew anything about him or targeted him or his companions.

Watched "42", and it was pretty awesome; very reminiscent on what happened on "The Impossible Planet".

They certainly did in the old days. 26 eps or so was the norm until the end of the Davison era.

I enjoyed "Angels" a lot. Not a River Sue fan, but the Angels may be the scariest monster in Who history. And it was a nice sendoff for Rory and Amy - sentimental without being maudlin.

I've always liked Amy’s character, and Rory’s even more. They’ve been good for The Doctor, and good for Doctor Who, and Arthur Darvill and Karen Gillan are two of the strongest actors to feature as companions. What I especially liked was the degree of honesty in their relationship with the Doctor, and how it was steeped in not just love but mutual respect. Companions and Doctors can never be equals, but these two seemed to understand his quiet demons better than most. In a sense these two were more like true friends than almost any Assistants the Doctor has had.

River continues to try my patience with every smug Alex Kingston line delivery, but she does get off one especially interesting piece of dialogue – “Don’t let him see you age. And never let him see the damage. He hates endings.” By spending some of his regeneration energy in healing River’s simple broken wrist, one can’t help but wonder if he’s feeling tired of it all, as if enough were finally enough. Endings are the only certainty in life, even for Time Lords – this fate, for certain, is one the Doctor can’t avoid. Perhaps he’s finally had enough of them. River urges him that he should never be alone, and even speaks to Amy through time to give him the message one last time, in the episode’s elegiac final sequence centered on the last page of a battered paperback. But I wonder if the Doctor – not ageless, but definitely aging – is determined to say goodbye to goodbyes. And if so, what would bring him back from the darkness.

I meant New Series, since the 1st series with 9 only had 13. Aside from the Xmas special and little blurbs, the series normally runs 13 epis a year.

By going one episode a day, I just finished "The End of Time". Sad to see Tennant go since he was great fun, but I've heard Matt Smith is very good, so I look forward to it.

He is, but just like other Doctors, you have to get used to him and like or dislike some parts of him.

Well, just finished watching Episode 3 of Matt Smith's first season, and it was very good fun. The rainbow Daleks were weird though; did Apple take over halfway or something?

Gah. I've been so busy I've hardly had any time for DW lately. I've just caught up with the end of Season 4. I am SO not ready to say goodbye to Ten, but I know I need to move on...
plus, I keep getting more spoiled for me despite my attempts to prevent it >_<
When Donna got her memory erased and Rose had to go back to the AR with Ten II...and Ten walked back to the TARDIS alone...SO SAD.

When one door closes, another opens. We all had our moment with Ten but Eleven will certainly take your breath away after atleast 3 episodes.

Also, reached Season 6 now (of the new series). Matt Smith's fantastic, and I really liked the return of the Angels. it was a gripping two-parter, since there was so much happening that put them at a disadvantage.

I adore Matt Smith, though not as much as David Tennant. Tennant is a tough act to follow, though, and Smith does it well.
