I'm entertained by the rage.

Short chapter is short, there's really not much to say. The panels in this were huge, full page most of the time. The only intriguing thing was the "I am, and I am not". Hinting at a "true boss". The other line was somewhat interesting if vague as well. Resuscitate? I'll take that to mean return to life, as the sword was meant to pierce the throat. So basically the Quincy army is brainwashed zombies?

Far too many loose ends unexplained.

We're getting the framework for this final arc, which is supposed to last a good while longer. Ichigo getting Quincy powers, Zero Squads impending arrival, the mention of another final boss, and a noticeably absent Ishida. I don't expect much else to come out of this encounter and the next battleground will either be the ice palace or the spirit king's realm.

By the way, Blut Vene is one of two Quincy-exclusive abilities that Kirge displayed earlier.

Blut Vene (German: "Blood Vein") allows a Quincy to drastically increase his defense.
The other, Blut Arterie (German: "Blood Artery") boosts a Quincy's damage output.

Take note that only one of these two Blut skills can be active.

Also, imagine Ichigo with Bankai, boosted by being a Vizard, further boosted by his Fullbring, and boosted even more by Blut Arterie.

me too. that's one power-up that i don't mind him having. the fullbring was ridiculous and now these quincy abilities seem even more stupid. some people did bring up that possibility before though. some said that ichigo's mom could have been an ishida, that's why ryuuken and isshin seem to know each other on a personal level. the reason why masaki was attacked by that hollow is because she had really strong reiatsu, perhaps quincy level reiatsu. the 1000-year blood war between the quincies and the shinigami might be directly related to isshin's departure from soul society and might actually be the reason why he lost his powers. if you really think about it, it's possible. well, i guess we'll just have to wait and see how things play out.

Beeing Quincy was never a matter of genetics.
It's just a set of skills, which could be taught to all (human) people with a high enough spiritual awareness to see hollows.

It's like beeing a soccer player: It's nothing you have to be born with, but just something you can learn to do.

Even Orihime, Tatsuki, or the other classmates can learn it. So the strange thing isn't really, that Ichigo is able to do it (he is a bit human after all, even though tecnically he should have died in Urahara's training session way back before SS and should have become a full Shinigami), the really strange thing is, that he was able to learn it in such a short time, after seeing it once, only a few minutes ago.

apparently, kubo is trying to tell us that quincies are a clan of people with special abilities not just a bunch of humans with strong reiatsu. this is kubo we're talking about, since when was he consistent on anything?

Still, what else were we all expecting? Archangel powers or something? With this happening and Zero Squad on it's way, more then likely the quincies will make a temporary retreat and allow Soul Society to boo-hoo while Ichigo gets ready to do another one of his brainless raids on the enemy fortress.

I mean...Kubo would never let Ichigo use battle strategy and form an alliance with the remaining arrancar to defeat these guys, no, not going to happen.

People have been predicting Ichigo would get quincy powers for the longest time, so I'm not surprised by this turn of events. It's about time Ichigo learned another technique anyway.
