CoTM according to translators was never finished. EX01-06 was as follows:

1) Black Swordsman (repacked into Vol2)
1.2) The Development of VRMMOs
2) Morning Dew Girl (repacked into Vol2)

4) Zekken (rewritten into Vol7)
5) Incident in the area (repacked into Vol8)
6, AKA 1.3) Red-nosed Reindeer (repacked into Vol2)

EX07 as the list says was Cradle of the Moon (used to be in a monthly magazine, no longer ongoing).

Summary of the stuff already in Chinese, they've done Ch5 and Last Chapter (#9). The stuff in-between is missing, I'm about as in the dark as everyone here - I know how stuff ended, but how the heck it ended up like this I have no clue. I mean, in the final Alicization chapter there was this bit about PoH:

sneaking into the UW using a European server and fought Kirito to the death; Kirito won, but we're still not sure if PoH is gone for good.

Long story short, I'm still confused after reading what I have.

It is actually possible if the European server is connected to "The Seed". Underworld is linked to all other VRMMOs through "The Seed" nexus. It means that the players can transfer their account into Underworld. But it was not the case for PoH. He did not enter Underworld through this method.

Yes, because random crap some random animators throw into their adaptations obviously trumps the author's explicit statement

Nope, it was pretty clear, he said that his position is that there is no clear/direct link between the two series, I don't know how much clearer he can get.

Hey I just read a thread w/ spoilers about the upcoming SAO Vol. 11 based on chapter V + of the web novels and it seems things have had a somewhat progressively darker tone.

I mean "murder" and for chrissake "rape".

Granted that all of this is happening in UNDERWORLD and the people involved are AIs cept for Kirito but man that's just harsh.

Anybody here that can confirm this?

No one can confirm if volume 11 will include that because it hasn't been released yet. The web novel did have those elements.

Eh, it's not as if there wasn't a whole lot of (offscreen) deaths in the aincrad arc. As long as it makes sense within the context of the story, I'm fine with it personally.

I'm far more concerned with the straight up outlandish premises in the later parts of Alicization, which tbh sounds more like out-of-control fanfics.

Hopefully that gets some significant revision for the published novel.

The Web LNs was. Dunno about the upcoming paper volume though. I've seen the Chinese translators theorizing it might be toned down too, but I would not be surprised if this @#%& was left in.

Technically speaking, both Aincrad and GGO had a few on screen murders, and a few other on screen deaths, in addition to all the offscreen deaths.

I have no idea how to feel about this. And that's mainly because it seems like a really bad fanfic. I've had enough of those, kthnx.

I don't think it's canon.. but that's for Kawahara to decide..

I think Seiken no Blacksmith had a rape scene, which was latter removed/toned down in reprints, so I guess SAO will be the same?

About the Vol 11 special scenes
I hope he keep them as close of the web-novel as he can, but, to be honest, it's unlikely. (since it's a publication, his editor might force his to tone it down)

Because, I love Kawahara's villains (mainly, Sugou and Noumi). Some people find he write them over-the-top, with some cartoonery villainy, but it's something i enjoy a lot in his story : He manage to make hateful villains and build up so much RAGE that their downfall is only more satisfying.

SAO and Accel World are not linked
I understood Kawahara's tweet more like a "Screw you, KYH is not their child !".
Because there is already so much evidence that the technology is the same, it's impossible for his to disprove it entirely, now.

It can also be interpreted as "Accel is not in the same timeline than SAO" :

It depends. But I'm not going to get into a fight over this. It's all speculation for me anyways just to get my SAO fix until Rondo gets fully translated and Vol. 11 comes out. :P

SC's shtick in Accel World is being able to fly. And from AW Vol3-4, Sky Raker said it's impossible to fly using only Incarnation System. What Kirito did here is completely overturning one of the perceived limits of IS and outdoing SC at his best trait, hence the TLers' comments.
