Ending for 153 was hilarious. I could just hear all of the characters going "FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUU----" in their heads.

I see the OVA comes out on the 35th Volume it looks like.

Can't read a lick of japanese, just see 35 number so assume that.

What date does that volume come out. Or I guess a direct question. When can we expect the new OVA?

I see a 11/16 down in the form you fill out. Not sure if that is release date or the date the form needs to be in in order to get this. Any clerification would be great.

It looks like the Spirit King had a different VA from his first one in episode 32.

It's not our King from Code Geass anymore ? O_o
You are sure about this ?

Anyways, do you think we can hope for Lyra full song in a future OST ?
Or it's from a single ?

Never thought I'd live to see the day someone did not recognize the glory that is Norio Wakamoto's voice after hearing it once before.

Wow, now I feel bad-v-;;. I just went with ANN's info of Norio voicing the spirit king in episode 32 only, I'll go to the corner to think about my mistakes .

So there are a few things that came up while I was watching. First, the other guild's Dragon Slayers are probably not real Dragon Slayers. I thought one of the requirements to be a Dragon Slayer was that you had to be trained by a dragon. Since all the dragons, besides one, have left 14 years ago, it seems really unlikely that they are real. They may be like Laxus, so just try to be like Dragon Slayers.

Also, with Mystogan in the intro as part of the super-powered Fairy Tail group, I'm wondering if that is Jellel in disguise? It would be weird of Mystogan to abandon his kingdom to return to Earthland and join a tournament on behalf of Fairy Tail.

Does Erza feel no pain? How can she resist the torture that the power-up was supposed to impose on her?

Btw, Happy deserved to be kicked in the end. Not cool to rub it in like that.

About Erza not feeling any pain... She was basically dumped just now, so the pain in her heart overlapped her physical pain...

I decided to give in and read this chapter and then watch it just to see how they compare. I really love how different the two felt to me, despite being the same story. In the manga it felt much funnier. Like when natsu was undergoing the unlocking of his 2nd Origin, in the manga i thought it was hilarious. In here though, it really seemed dark and dreary.

I must also say that the sound in Fairy Tail is getting even better. The songs are even more emotional and moving than before, and the acting is great. I have a greater appreciation for some of the voice actors like Sting and Gray than I did before. These past episodes made me forget that Fairy Tail is a shounen show, and I like that.

There are some parts that I like better in the anime, and some parts better in the manga. This was one of the latter. Still a good ep, though. In the manga, though, it wasn't clear if they had kissed, but we can see here that he pushed her away before.

And like ginger said, I like that Fairy Tail makes me forget that it is a shonen. It is shonen, but so much more, and I like that it delves into these places.

We get a brief glimpse of the guild members who will be fighting, but looking forward to hearing their VA's next ep (if they speak).

Who said that they are new Dragon Slayers?
They could be of the same age as Natsu and Gajeel, well 7 years older now.

Anyway it was a really good episode, got several giggles from me.
Whole Erza/Jellal scene was far more trolled here than in manga
