I still don't get why this is doing so good on the rankings. Its decent to read each week but nothing amazing. Now if their mafia families start killing each other while they are together that would be good.

Well, this manga does it different.
Instead of just pretending that the other girls have a chance (what many other shounen romance mangas do), this manga makes it clear with almost every chapter who the heroine is and that she is the one who will end up with the maincharacter. I must say that i preffer the pretending less, because it is still always ease to see how it will be. So why not just make it crystal clear? I like it. |

The problem is that, any interaction with other girls such as Tsugumi or Marika, we know that will lead to nothing at all, so it comes down to just them making faces or being put into funny situations.
Even if they introduce someone later, Chitoge will still win anyways. |
