A study released Monday argues those in the top fifth of the high school popularity pyramid garnered a 10% wage premium nearly 40 years after graduation, compared to those in the bottom fifth.

The study was published by the National Bureau of Economic Research. Its authors say they don’t view popularity as an “innate personality trait.” Instead, popularity pays because those who learn to play the game in high school are figuring out what they need to know to succeed when they enter the workplace. The report suggests schools may want to join their academic mission with one that helps students build their social skills.

Heh, if you want to see angry people - ask a group of pharmacists what they think about the drug giants, their pricing, marketing, or choices of research. They get to deal with the results of that on the patient every single day (e.g. "I've stopped treatment to keep my family from declaring bankruptcy").

For a double whammy, ask them about the insurance industry ... you know, the "corporate for-profit death panels" our tea-tards never seem to mention

All Google does is provide a link in answer to a Search. If the site provider wants to get paid they can put their site on a paid model. But how would the French government even tax something like a link?

IIRC, it's not search engines as much as news aggregators which are targeted.
