Looking back at my previous post, I can see the misunderstanding

Basically what I meant is that it's not like Lyfa and Suguha sound the same despite having the same seiyuu so we can't exactly blame Kirito for not noticing when half of us didn't

They do have the same accent though, so that's that. And oh, my ears are trying to lean on K-ON!'s Azunyan, for some reason... which is obvious.

Well they have Private Dojo so 2 amusphere probably cheap for them .

I am not really expecting VR headset really that expensive. Probably $2000 at max. sure the are more expensive than PS3. but compare to high end PC. they are reasonably price.

So yeah they are expensive but is not like you cannot buy them for you family if you have decent job.

Thought I think Kirito dad have slightly better job than standard office job if he can buy 2 of them.

Actually do we have any info about Kirito dad?

His father works for a foreign financial company, ie: the cliche absent father who's always away on business trips. His mother is the chief editor of a popular computer magazine. I can't say off the top of my head whether that would make them rich or not, but inheriting a full old fashioned Japanese mansion with attached dojo probably saved them enough extra pocket money to buy a game console or two.

I had a question about sword art online novels. Without spoiling anything has the novels ended? If yes, what volume is the last novel. If it is continuing still what volume are they at?

Also if it is still continuing has the author indicated that would be the final novel or it would continue after that volume.

Yes and no. The original SAO novels existed as web novels, and that was concluded years ago.

The current SAO novels that are being published includes both small and large changes/additions, but largely follows the web novels still. The current guess based on the original web novel is that the published novels is likely to end at 15~16 or so, assuming no huge changes or additional arcs by the author.

The latest volume to be published was 11, last month.

It looks like three chapters plus one 'interlude'... Whatever that means.

SAO was a web novel first before it was published by Degenki Bunko, so there exist a 'guideline' to the plot somewhere out there in the Internet.

Thx guys . I know the name of the volume titles but not much about the plot. But since it can be spoilerish ( sort of ) i will take my next question ( that aroused from the answers) to a spoiler thread.

Spoiler for can be considered spoiler (even major to anime only viewers)/ has the title for each volume/ you were warned:

As original web novel that concluded years ago, are you talking about Aincard a lone or combination of Aincard and fairy dance ( vol 1 to 4).

What volumes are considered the original SAO that were concluded years ago?

The stories are still related right? What i am asking is you said the original concluded years ago. The things that followed after the original are they continuation of the original series ( at least in a way?). As continuation i don't necessarily mean to continue the story per se, but rather if they are at least canon.

-Also you guys say web novels. Can you explain what you mean ? Like as in published in web vs published in magazine/book ?

lastly, is it safe to assume that Alicization ends at 10 and they yet again jump into another game? which would be 11?

Original web novel is what it sounds like - novels self-published on the author's own website. For Kawahara-sensei it includes Aincrad, Fairy Dance, and.... well... everything else. All the published LNs at the moment were all adapted from the web novel, into book form.

Yes, they're all canon, except a few side stories.

The latest is vol.10, with vol.11 coming next month. The amount of web novel left to adapt is projected to last until about vol.15, which was finished years ago. (that's what we meant by it)

The story for the most part is the same, but many events and details are changed/left out. Without spoiling, the web novel is generally more provocative and edgy than the published light novel.

No, Alicization is the last (and longest by far) arc, so if the series do end at 15, it will be from vol.9 to 15.

It's very difficult to find a summary of all of the story and plot in English (hell, I don't even think it's possible..), but I think some websites have what you seek in Chinese.

Your best bet would be the Light Novel thread in this sub-forum, but finding information about the web novel may be a little difficult, as that thread is used to discuss a lot more than just the web novel.
