Why do you think it's the same beat-up unit? We see at least two Evas 02(Υ and B). Even there is only one unit - it's pretty clear they do work on it.

Well if you look closely half of its face is gone, the jaw's been replaced and so is the left arm, all consistent with the damage sustained in GeoFront. It's the same unit all right.

It doesn't have to be that extreme . I managed to not become spoiled before I got the Eva 2.22 Blu-ray by simply not going into any site, forums & threads discussing it. When you're not focusing on it, time flies. And suddenly, I got my copy of Eva 2.22 ^^.

Still, for this entry, I kinda open to spoilers .
