Hajime no Ippo and Mushishi I will consider. HunterXHunter - will probably be while before this gets on my watch list. I have seen the rest two. Thank you for your suggestions

yeah, i don't know if you followed up with cross game, but there's a post in the discussion thread from me that basically said i watched 40+ eps in a weekend. that good.

The thing is I have got so much backlog of awesome oldies that if I come across one I forget what I was looking for and go after it - like this, "oohhh, SHINY!! "

I just finished NANA(anime and manga in all but 3 and 1/2 days) after coming across it accidently.
I have every intention of watching Cross Game next but, I can't promise my attention won't be swayed by something shinier

Seconding (or whatever's the count at) The Tatami Galaxy, Monster, Cross Game (as much as I love it, there're some slow parts), Hikaru no go, Slam Dunk and Shiki (a bit iffy but still).

And give Monster another shot when you're not as distracted by life. It's crazy good.
