Sorry but this demo...smfh.

Definitely seems like a great action game for people who aren't Devil May Cry fans that much I'll give it.

It's pretty easy actually. But what's more worrying is how easy it is to maintain an SSS rank compared to previous games. Seems the only rule to maintaining it is "Don't get hit."

Also, I got stuck in a wall. I don't know how but I did. This is a first for me in the DMC series. Over the 10 years I've played the series I can't think of a single glitch like that. There were save glitches to help farm orbs but nothing along the lines of getting stuck in the level or getting stuck in a flying animation. Not even in the demos.

At least in the demo there is really no point to JCing. There are so many ways to reset your air combo and stay in the air that I found it pointless. For example, the Angel pull resets your air combos so you just do that after aerial rave and your golden. And don't get me started on Osiris's Rack.

I pretty much agree and this game seems have much more "Cancelling" mechanic in the attacks than the previous games.
But DMC 3 still remains as the best of the series so far.

The demon/angel pull makes the game very fast even without jump cancel. Also delay-weapon change combos and aerial dodges makes it faster in the air combat. Oh, and it's not repetitive like nero's combat and doesn't have crappy camera angles.

By the way i'm talking about the normal game mode not turbo mode. Awww i can't wait for the PC version that runs on 60fps.

Edit: Oh another one of this game's major faults. The PS3 version sucks.

That is what I'm waiting for. I need faster enemies than these.

Also this SSS rank on Son of Sparda on Secret Ingredient.

YouTube
Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

I only got hit twice there and I really haven't played that much old DMC after I played the HD version.

Edit:

A glitch

Without a doubt that this game is way too easier than 3. The poison boss fight is a pretty much like cerberus battle fight so i expect it to be damn challenging like cerberus so i have high expectations for it but in the end, Poison is not really that challenging. I just hope the battle with vergil in the game will be challenging and epic like in DMC 3. So as Mundus. I'm looking forward beating his demonic god ass again.

I just hope the PC version would not have bugs and glitches and would present a more challenge.

I chalk it down to 'learning the mechanics' rather than difficulty

Bullcrap. You have access to the SoS difficulty level. This game is piss poor easy. Being a demo is not an excuse.

Last I've checked, demos aren't exactly used as a test of strength- And maybe you would like to take a chill pill first?

Well if it does turn out super easy on release, I can happily blame the casuals. But it's most likely early parts of the game. So of course it's gonna be easy.

But till then, can we shut up about it? sheesh. I don't want two pages of "Freakin too easy"

What about controls? is the combat flow smooth?

No need. I am perfectly fine. I just don't make lame excuses for dumbed down games thats all. The game is piss easy because of the mechanics. You can scream it's a demo as much as you can but the mechanics and enemies won't change. When you breeze through a DMC demo on very hard you know the game gonna be easy.

It's just amazing to see that people love to scream that they are tiered of dumbed down games, handholding and catering to the casuals and yet people defend this game.

Yes clearly I was the screaming one, "Ahhhhhh..." -_-

And you with the aggressive stance claims to be perfectly fine.

I guess this 'People' you speak of is a singular entity instead of a group of individuals with different beliefs and therefore share different opinions?

Ah just in case you're tempted to label me, for the record I still don't have a good feeling about this game and would probably wait a long time after the public gets their hands on it before deciding (if ever) to get it... But that doesn't mean I can't disagree with pointless complaints.

First of all no one is attacking you so stop getting worked up. I have no intentions of labeling you or anything else. Second which pointless claims? That the demo is extremely easy even on Son of Sparda?. When was the last time that the equivalent of very hard was this pathetic in a DMC game even in the first level? Do you really believing the the game will be different from the demo? It was like that during Gamescom, TGS and now with the demo.

Well, at least we're not yelling at the game anymore because of Dante's grunge look, that's a bright side right?
