If there's any beach episode this reminds me of, it's Kanamemo's. There are swimsuits purchased, talks of going to the beach, but the beach is never actually gone to. So much time is dedicated to swimsuit shopping, but it's still entertaining. Arisa is blending right in with the other four - and Arashi's taste in swimsuits is very Kuroko-esque. That's not the only thing Kuroko-esque about her, but she by far shows the most skin this week.

The second half with the swimsuit fashion show had some nice gags playing off the characters. Gin using one of her pads as a "tea coaster" and Arisa's rather elaborate school swimsuit angel stand out. Oh, and Kaoruko getting in on it too was unexpected. That sequence at the end with everyone running was clearly where a lot of the budget went to this week.

And the idea of Akito writing a robot novel next is intriguing. Sounds like Godannar, but a little more immoral. Kawaguchi's delivering a show here that, in terms of execution, stands out, even if the content is all familiar. The pacing is a little slower due to the conversation-heavy nature of the material, but he's adjusting well enough, eight episodes in.

No impact? No impacto? lol I always expect for the unexpected in this series, and this episode slapped all anime swimsuit episodes in the face and still managed to be completely hilarious

What did that guy say in Snatched, I was expecting warm sandy beaches, and there was nary a sand in sight, everyone enjoyed their respective swimsuits in the giant bath. Indoors. Inside the bath. This wasn't a pool episode, it wasn't a beach episode, this was a hilarious Oniai swimsuit episode that really fit the tone of this series

And it had plenty of moments, from the pre-OP swimsuit shopping scene, to the delusion scenes, right down to the one-on-one swimsuit show, I said "where's the beach? The pool? Hello?" And then Editor-chan actually did show up, further satisfying my expectations

I got one gripe though: how could they leave Akiko out from the 200 FPS running sequence at the end? No budget left for the cover girl? Oh the humanity

yea arashi's outfit so "overkill" pwn'd gin & picking swimsuits let send akito to door the swimsuits.

we got angel arisa, cat ana, ginbei flat, arashi "overkill", akiko in normal, & bonus door oh it's office lady so usual wear swimsuits run for your life akito & hmm alone meet with office lady?

That was a fun swimsuit episode. No beach at all either!

Anastasia helping Arisa out, was cute to see. Her interest in that imouto is really something.
Akiko sure knows her stuff about swimsuits though. I can definitely agree on some points of what she said. I'm sure she could have a nice long talk with mangatron about that sort of topic.
I really can't help but feel sorry for Gin though, poor girl.

For various reasons I've had to put off Oniai for a while so I had a good 4 episode marathon session, and it's good to be caught up. Oh how I missed Ana and Akiko's funny reactions/actions.
I actually enjoyed the non-beach swimsuit episode quite a lot. It was fresh, and the swimsuits were fresh too...
And Neko Akiko with stockings = height of my day. Absolutely a plus.
I have one complaint about this newest episode though... didn't feel like I got a fair dose of Ana in swimsuit. I demand more!

The editor showing up was a nice bonus too.

Also, I wonder are we ever gonna get a background on why everyone is at living at the house together or how they met? We got like a few vague hints and references, but nothing solid at all. I thought we would get into 'flashback' introduction episodes after the first few, but we're up to episode 8 now, and no signs of it.

Is it necessary? The interactions are a lot more dynamic with everyone present, and not everything needs to be spelled out on screen. How they got there is less important than what they did once they got there.

The main character in this should really hook up with the prez
