Looks like Tomoe had a sweetheart in the past.
Nanami had a really hard task in front of her.
She was truly ready to sacrifice everything to save him, no matter the cost.
Mizuki tricked Nanami into being her servant...
Tomoe is gonna "love" that part.
Well, at least she had both of them now ^^

Epi 9 was great, the best part was the Dragon King's wife beating the heck out of him for dissing her gift, I lol'd hard.

They didn't show the scene but in the manga Tomoe cut his hair short again.

Yes, I freaking ROFL! when the Dragon King's wife beats him in the background. The Dragon King is awesome! Totally love his character.

And Mizuki...lol...he's a perfect counterbalance to Tomoe.

I really am interested to see how they explain things in ep10, since it looks like they will be cutting out quite a lot of the manga plot that would have explained what we saw in the preview.

Major question though...how did the Dragon King's eye end up in Nanami? Is she Yukiji's reincarnation or Yukiji is her ancestor? Since Yukiji swallowed the eye, could it be transferred down the bloodline?

If Nanami is a reincarnation of Yukiji, then how would the eye be in her? Of course being a direct decendant doesnt help explain it either unless Yukiji had a child....and Im thinking her didnt. Im assuming since the Eye is magical it could be passed from one reincarnation to the other. Wonder what happened to the eye to make it so small. The Dragon King didnt seem to believe it was his eye.

Yeah, I don't think Nanami is Yukiji's child either...best bet will be reincarnation. It's a magic eye with a GPS and homing signal set on Nanami's soul...lol.

About what happened to the Dragon King's eye, it's explained in the manga but not in the anime. But that small thing is truly his real eye...or what's left of it over the years.

No. So far, there hasn't been any background info about the Dragon King. But, yeah, it does make you wonder how they got together...lol. She probably smacked him into submission.

I can imagine him getting cold feet on their wedding day, tries to sneek away only to be dragged back by her.

I checked out the first episode of this Friday night, namely because I agree with those youkai who described Nanami as being delicious. Good show.

Tomoe was so cute and funny when Nanami caught him in the middle of beating the Dragon King down. He then tried to hide himself back in the calm, lol.

Aww, the love in this episode was so high again it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

But... in my memory of how Mizuki became Nanami's shinshi, she kissed him on her own initiative. In the episode, Mizuki stole the contract kiss while Nanami was unconscious. Am I remembering wrong? I'm sorry but I'm just not in this show for the serious parts. But it was nice. And I'm sure this is just me having read too much, ahem, relevant material, but when Tomoe was wiping his hand on Mikage, didn't it seem like as if he was groping Mikage? XD;; Also, it was nice to see Otohiko, even for such a small cameo. B part: Ohh yes. Well, it was still a bit too serious, but hey, at least the relationship is going somewhere. I guess they have to put the two of them on the right track before the finale. ^^;; And Nanami was surprisingly fast to reach the correct conclusion... (it's not like Tomoe was being very subtle, though.) But as always, the side characters win. xD Mizuki sneaking after Nanami (that's yandere for you) and then Nanami dragging him into the girls' toilet XD;; Nanami's boy crazy friend, the "tehe-pero" guy, and of course OH KURAMA. XDDD Just when I was starting to feel disappointed, he goes and sings that song. XD And it was awesome. XD I'm happy to see that the creators of this show are having as much fun with him as I do. They even got the performer of the original song to sing backup, awesome. XD (And hats off to Kishio Daisuke... that guy is a real pro. xD) Now I want this song and Kurama's idol song on the OST, both full versions, please please please!! Btw, the song was actually a pretty damn good closure for this ep. Nanami's realization needed a punch, and the original song wouldn't have had enough "oomph". Also, the B part had some great shots.
