Heh...once again, the hero role falls to Hanemura...Guess that means despite his power being anathema to Hakaze's he's still weaker than her?

Although I really wonder does the Genesis Tree have any idea at all what Hakaze intends, because I don't see why it would keep supplying her power if it did...

I don't really know... I mean the Tree grants Hakaze's wishes since she is the Princess so now that she is against the Tree shouldn't it grant her wish even if it goes against its existence?

A bit of a contradiction but I'm also wondering about that, the Tree of Genesis should already be aware of what Hakaze thinks. It nearly eliminated Mahiro and Yoshino just when Hakaze returned so why doesn't it take action against Hakaze?

Aika and Yoshino were so cute despite she looked a bit yandere. I pity Hakaze, she can't help but like Yoshino despite all her efforts to avoid it.

At last someone told Mahiro the obvious. One of the things I've liked about the second part of Zetsuen is Hanemura and Mahiro friendship.

Genesis Tree attacking with giant durians?!

And so, the Lovecraftian Plant awakes....Looks like Hanemura may be in serious trouble here.

Also lol at Mahiro suggesting that people may finally shift blame away from the Zetsuen Mage as a result. Seeing how they actually overlooked the Genesis's Tree's initial wave of destruction and that if the Zetseun Tree counters you'll have essentially two giant, world-spanning Lovecraftian plants duking it out and wasting everything around....

I'm seeing Hanemura struggling a lot to that monster, I've seen people speculating that maybe he'll die when he destroys it

At least I don't expect that to happen. I am still betting this manga will end happily.
And not all the dragon slayers used as the example in past chapters died after they fight the dragon.

well can you plz start at vol6 i saw a raw of Hakaze talking to that japanese official in a car, it seemed that talk was pretty damn important since it went on for a while, and nobody explained what the hell happened when she went back in time execpt that aika killed herself

Jun's reactions were indeed priceless and it surprised me when Hakaze wanted to attack the tree of beginnings. For some reason it never came to me that she would do that, love could be frightening.

Basically, the researchers were floating the idea that the Trees are alien weaponry, that the aliens used the Genesis Tree to prevent other civilizations from attaining the needed tech level to threaten them. Zetsuen Tree is meant to be a fail-safe counter to that.

Later, while Fraulein's side is agonizing over whether to destroy the Genesis Tree, Mahiro and Yoshino encounter each other at the cemetery while looking at sakura blossoms. Yoshino reveals he's Aika's boyfriend and Mahiro comes to terms with it as well as finally admitting to himself that he really loved Aika all along. I personally find this part pretty poignant.

Hanemura's already shaky resolve is further strained when after too much destruction is caused in the movement of more Zetsuen fruits.

Hakaze decides to use the same way she broke out of the temporal difference on Mt Fuji to go back to before Aika died.


When Hakaze went back in time, she meets Aika who turns out to be the Zetsuen Mage. The full complete one, just as Hakaze is the Genesis Princess. In short, Aika's doing this to protect Yoshino and Mahiro. She doesn't care about anything else and considers her own death worth it for that end.

No the Yoshino thing was just a theory because Samon and them didn't trust him.
