Just adding my voice to the already roaring choir of approval here. This is great, great news. If it's even half as good as the first season, this will still blow me away.

If it premieres in January, guess I'll have to do a marathon rewatch during the Christmas holidays.

Life's rough, isn't it? But a fan's gotta do what a fan's gotta do.

From the ANN interview

Quote:
The second series has been announced, but specific staff assignments, like who's going to be working with what and where hasn't been announced yet. We don't even know if we'll be working on the series. We hope we will.
I hope Madhouse isn't foolish and keeps the staff.

omg I can't wait for it. I randomly checked the show out and knew nothing about Karuta and feel absolutely in love. I wonder what the 2nd seasons will be about?

Megumi Han? Hmm, nice...let's see how she goes with a character different than Gon. Should be interesting.

If I am not mistaken Chihaya's seiyuu tried out for the part of Gon & now Gon's seiyuu is in Chihayafuru.

Also I was listening to Miyu Irino sing Under the Sea while reading he would be in the series.

Well definitely two good choices.

Character designs look great, can't wait to see their introduction.

Which reminds me I need to rewatch the first series.

So taichi tuesdays become taichi fridays

Though that makes me wonder if NTV's tuesday night anime block is indeed dead.

Taichi Friday doesn't really have the same ring to it...but anime on the weekends is usually better for me time wise.

Tuesdays were better for me. Fridays are always too packed with anime.

Ah well, more Chihayafuru is good, it doesn't matter when it airs.

Agreed on both fronts. I preferred Tuesdays when it could really be center stage, but any day with Chihayafuru is a good day.

"Friendzone Fridays"?

It could also be Fukui Friday for Arata's memorable accent

I will still miss saying Taichi Tuesdays though!
