just noticed that both the latest translated chapters of Index and Railgun both focused on ‘doubt’ and ‘trust’(more so Index)

Well the theme for that entire Index arc is pretty much doubt and trust.

Kamijou Touma’s actions are based on trust.-

I just got around to reading it and damn, another great chapter. And next to meet Gensei? The one that's practically a legend among Kiharas? Where's Accelerator when you need a good Kihara buster?

Anyway, I like the irony of Misaki being hard to read, who could tell what she is thinking?
I'm also convinced more than before that Kongou really is Misaki's opposite.

BTW, is it just me or is Fuyukawa's art still getting better with each chapter?

From Vol. 1 to vol Vol.4 there was a improvement but now I find it the same as vol.4.

That's why I always find it very unfair when they criticize the Touma when he wants to Mikoto away from his problems.

Well, her not trying to involve others is not due to a lack of trust, but rather from the (slightly arrogant) wish to protect them. Misaki's attitude is completely opposite, as it's from the wish to protect herself, being unable to trust anyone.

... but as you said, Touma did give her a taste of her own treatment... or will I guess. This much isn't a spoiler right?

Isn't spoiler, it was one of the themes of the Sisters Arc.

I think it's the same. The high quality art should be a given though, since this is a (bi?)monthly series.

It is me then... but I could have sworn it had been getting steadily better, though not at the same rate as in the beginning.

And LMAO, it is really hard to call this a monthly manga

I didn't realise until now how little we knew about Misaki. It'll be interesting to see what she does.
I totally agree with you... Some of the justifications she gave to Mikoto just doesn't feel right to me somehow. And the fact that she's so hard to read makes it even more sus. Misaki's "you-shouldn't-trust-people-so-easily" talk almost sounds like a warning for Mikoto :P Haha, I'm just getting paranoid... maybe.

With Misaki's distrustful attitude, I bet she experienced the Dark Side of Academy City more often than Mikoto did when she was growing up and met people who treated her as nothing more than a disposable stepping stone, much like how the participants of the Level 6 experiment treated the Sisters.
Nice theory. And "Yeah!" knowing Misaki is on Mikoto's side in saving the Sisters from Gensei. Hopefully those two would kiss and make out up after all of this.

doujins on the way!

now the only question is who will be 'topping'?

probably misaki, since she's quite the control freak

what? which part of this is mikoto trying to get involved in misaki's problem? i'm sure MEMBER's plan to kidnap a sister and eliminate mikoto is mikoto's problem, so misaki is third party getting involved here.

and yes, she does have a problem relying on others..but it is getting better, esp this arc. like last chapter when she trusted kuroko to aid her in a life or death situation, and asking kongou for help before

The part where Mikoto expects Misaki to help her, trust her, and explain her motives... even when Mikoto never really could do the same during the Sisters arc and always tends to do things on her own anyway.

It's fine that Mikoto wants to find and protect 10032, but she really has no business expecting Misaki to cooperate with her.

In Misaki's case/defense, it can be expected that she has a trust issue...
After all she could read the mind of others along with their hidden agenda/motives and such...
She might have read a LOT to be wary of those she can't read...
Wonder if she'll still have the same attitude after the arc...
Then again if the one dealing with her is Touma, what kind of preaching will he give to her?
