Quite a bit different than your typical shoujo manga mainly because romance isn't the main focus though it does occupy a sizable portion of the plot. The story is pretty dark and twisted with good deal horror to go around. None of the main characters are entirely good either which helps in making the cast and plot compelling even if the story initially isn't super original. On that note the story doesn't waste a whole lot of time getting "shit gets real" part which makes the first couple chapters feel like an ending arc rather than a prologue. It's definitely a good read with a lot of potential that's worth checking out IMO.
