That pacing. I keep saying it and I believe I said it before in this thread, but tite needs to seriously stop using whole chapters to explain something that can be explained in 6 pages.

He's a good gag prop though. I liked the trash talking between Renji and Ichigo.

Plus, the reveals in this chapter were nice and "juicy". Certainly a few "bombshells", if you know what I mean.

I'm liking that the over the top nature of the Zero squad is not only noted, but integral to the story. Certainly better than my initial impression that Kubo was just doing it because.

This chapter continues to bring up questions about Urahara and his group, plus we have the Kenpachi stuff from the previous chapter. All that's left to cover is Ichigo's family (Isshin stuff).

I knew it. Kubo sure draws them "juicy"

The first 3-4 pages with Kon were garbage. I certainly have grown of the trash talk between Ichigo and other characters - its digestible if Ichigo's not involved.
The next guy - again, the design looks like a carbon copy of one of the Vizards, zzzz - looks interesting enough from the intro we got. Lets hope he is.

Wowww, that was almost a complete waste of a chapter. They were just eating for almost the whole friggin thing. And after building up Unohana last week, not even a mention of her here.

How can Zanpakutos be created, if they're just a manifestation of the soul? It would be cool if he could do something that effected the whole cycle of reincarnation, although shinigami don't really have that much of a point if they can't usefully slay hollows (which is most easily done by a zanpakuto), so how did he stay around long enough to work it out

Probably he was the first to have the idea of putting a part of your soul into the shape of a sword.

Maybe they used normal swords before…

She definitely outclasses both Orihime and Rangiku when it comes to the "assests".

Seriously people, Get your eyes checked, he looks like no one from the Vizards. Or anyone from the entire cast, Frankly the only person who is big recycled is the arm lady but just barely. Just because he has glasses on doesn't make him a clone.

@ Dragon - Omaeda is just big, not as fat as her. She is more like Choji from Naruto.

@ Not Tsukune - She out classes them in pure looks too. I like her a lot more than those two personality wise too. she's more like a mother.

This chapter directly contradicts that awesome mod soul filler arc in the anime that aired after Aizen. In that, we had a character who 'created the mod souls' and also another that was 'the very first mod soul'. I thought it was an interesting plot that could actually fit in the story, but it seems Kubo has no problem disregarding the whole thing, as good as it was =/

And I really thought that Kubo will make this revelation while she's in battle or something . lol . This chapter is decent . slowly moving to explain some things . And with this highlight on gikongans , might this mean that Kon will have a much more significant purpose in the future ? Like "chewing" his pill would make you SUPERHAXXLOLWTF , but the soul in the pill will "die", and such . And that Ouetsu guy looks like that vaizard guy , a relative or just Kubo running out of ideas for character designs ? And he made zanpaktos ? how the hell ? And I really hope they unexpectedly "spill" the beans about Isshin's past soon enough . __________________
