I think their relationship as siblings is acting as a brake for Akito, actually. He won't do anything for as long as she remains his sister. If she became just another girl, then the possibility of romance would open up, and he may be scared of that.
The flip side is that, while he knows they're not blood related, she doesn't, which means she views him as her family. I think the hint is that their parents are already dead? Which would also mean he'd be "killing off" whatever family she thought she still had.

Though he'll eventually need to tell her.

The title is a question, not a statement. It implies there is some doubt that it's fine.

Like I said, it's still very telling that she would respect Akito's feelings despite her and the rest of the harem's attempts to "win him over".

There was also a segment inn ep7 (albeit comedic) where Arisa told Akiko how incest is forbidden. Even if it was played for laughs, Akiko was still affected by something that she should be unfazed by if she didn't think her blood relation to her brother was important.

Indeed, those last few lines does heavily imply he has feelings for her and therefore called himself a threat. Blushing while admiring her sexy neck makes that somewhat clearer too
Even though he could take care of her for the rest of his life by simply marrying her, that would be a different form of love and he probably has doubts as to if her feelings would change if she knew the truth. Clearly he doesn't want to ruin what he has right now. Or maybe the bastard really plans on making a harem with the rest of the girls

The doubt is implied on part of Akito imo. A picture is worth a thousand words and while Akiko is looking at Akito one can only read "I love you no matter what, always and forever." on her face.

Well, after finishing the series, I can say I definitely enjoyed this one. The Harem aspect of it was pretty meh, and I've seen better. But luckily, this series had me in tears from all the laughing I did overall, so it easily makes up for it.

Didn't really have a favorite girl, none of em really appealed to me highly, but I'd say its a tie between Akiko and Ana of overall entertainment, both had be dying from their crazy jokes.

I'd give this a solid 8 out of 10, and would watch a second season if it ever came to light.

Akito is "one big hell of a perverted beast"trying to control his self by chaining himself by his own spell....

I'll give this series 7/10, I enjoyed it for the fun happened in the series, and another thing catch my attention is the OST, it is good at least for my kind of music , anybody know who arrange/where the OST came from ? and other series that use the same arranger?

The main character in this series doesn't really seem spineless he just isn't interested in any of the girls.

Last episode still had some nice stuff. I especially liked Ana kissing Akiko
I'd say that's proof that Ana also swings both ways, just like Arashi, and that she's attracted to Akiko. She doesn't call Akiko "bishoujo" (beautiful girl) for nothing.
After she kissed Akiko, she stopped holding her skirt down, and as expected, the wind flaps it up, and Akiko gets to see below it. I think that was fully intentional by Ana, to say to Akiko: "Look what I have to offer. This could be yours!"

This "twist" really pisses me off to no end. Screw that fake incest crap. If you don't intend to write incest, then don't advertise your work as such.

Akito's justification for not telling Akiko the truth doesn't even make sense. What brakes? She is already actively trying to get into his pants while thinking he is her brother, revealing the truth to her is not going to change anything at this point. In fact, it may even turn her off since I suspect the fact their relationship is forbidden is part of what makes her lust for her brother so much. The news would totally crush her and make her reconsider her brocon.
I'd say it really *does* hold her back. While she's actively trying to seduce him, she never gets too aggressive and never crosses the line.
If she knew they're not blood related, she'd most likely hit on him much more aggressively
The main reason because he doesn't want this is because he's gay. He never showed any interest in any girls, and there's really a broad range to choose from: age-wise, from the loli to the older women, blone, brunette, black-haired, small breasts, medium breasts, big breasts...
So he doesn't want her to hit on him more aggressively because being hit on by girls makes him uncomfortable. He talks about protecting her from all factors, including him, because if she hit on him more aggressively, he would have to repulse her more aggressiley, and he might even lose it and actually hurt her in doing so, and he doesn't want to risk that. He still likes her like a little sister, even if they're not related.

About the writer avoiding taboos - I see it quite the opposite. This series not only has one, but even two girls who are at the very least bi, but I think they're even lesbians.

Arashi seems to think that if she pretends to aggressively pounce on males, no one will think that she's actually a lesbian. However, she's all talk, but never actually acts on it. When she gets to be alone with him, with the others outside, she doesn't try anything, but does that tea ceremony instead.

Ana has never shown any attraction to Akito in the first place. She seems to think of him as a nice plaything, or someone that is fun to have around, but never tried to hit on him or anything.
Her kissing Akiko in the last episode and intentionally letting the wind expose her lower parts to her but not holding her skirt down were a clear sign as well.

Akito finally is the first gay main character in such a series I can think of, and being gay is even a much bigger taboo than being lesbian. As said above, he isn't attracted in the least to any of the girls. He's ok with simple friendship, but that's all there is.

That makes three homosexuals, in a single show. That's quite a lot.

Finally, I really do hope that there's a second season!
I need more Ana!

Once again: special > TV-series.
At least that's true for a good number of this series' episodes. Hopefully the rest of the specials will be just as good, if not better.

In the meantime...

@Shimapan
You are to much into gay/lesbian thing.
No one is total gay/lesbian in this show, Arashi may be swinging both ways, Ana is just doing *high class girl play*.
Akito is straigth.
But whatever swings your boat if you want the whole cast can be gay for you.

However untill you post true proof (novel spoilers where characters such as Akito say themselves they are gay) you are just shooting fireworks at birds.

Just finished the series.

Storytelling was very ordinary - it was the characters that carried the weight. Who would think that a 15 minute conversation between Akito and Anastasia could be so entertaining?

Looking at it all, the anime would've been a lot better if it just followed the LN faithfully...

Spoiler for LN comparision:

This series should be watched for what it is, light hearted naughty fun. You're not going to find a deep meaningful series and shouldn't waste time looking for it here.

She's a exhibitionist and a pervert, a teaser....

I doubt she is a lesbian nor ojou-sama's.. This is fan service anime and such "events" should never be taken literally. She has only one interest and that is Akito and the other's just for play....

Bizarre but interesting series. And I must say, as if it's not bad enough that she's a sleep-stripper who likes to sneak into the hero's bed at night, just look where she's got her hands hooked... All I can say is AriShiteru.

Also, does anyone really believe that Akiko's good morning flash was unintentional? Considering her character, she made sure her bra was showing before she said a word.

Wish that baka-tsuki would take on the novel project, would read it to see the novel in true colors.

A loli that strips and crawls in my bed during the night when I'm in it. Someone tell me where I can find one like that.

I'm pretty sure Akiko got the idea from Alisa, so it's definitely on purpose. A shame that she didn't strip for him, though. If Akito could resist that, then I'd say he's stronger than I am.

This was the show that made me laugh the most this past season (shame on the shows that were supposed to but didn't).

Things I liked: 1) Self Producer, 2) Life ru is Love ru, 3) Anastasia, 4) Akiko (I hear her seiyuu is a rookie. Good job!)

Otherwise, some things I had a problem with: 1) very belated OPs, 2) some episodes ended very abruptly, 3) besides the late arrival Arisa, Arashi unlike the other girls got next to no backstory, 4) I think a bit of the story should be straightened out rather than having super long flashbacks that straddle episode splits, 5) Ginbei needs more presence, because right now she has very little contribution.

8/10. Considering how the show left with "We're not really blood related," I guess I'll follow if a sequel ever shows up. I really wish Silver Link would go back to doing shows with their semi-Shaft art style though.
