I think he was able to pick up on her feelings, because, for once, Hina was direct on what she wanted. What Ruka told him, though, probably has made him reconsider the way he wants to treat other girls.

It seems, though, he still doesn't seem to think Hina would ever like him.
All the same, I wonder if this will have any significant impact in his relationship with Ayumu, who has confessed her feelings to him a few times already.

it's good to see Hina become more daring in this chapter.... although she should heard what Ruka has done to Hayate

I started to reread Hayate no Gotoku again and i noticed something that i didnt pay attention to before...the one that ayumu mentions as her home tutor that taught her of nothing but to sing and play the guitar is Yukiji,hina's sister or a different person? (chapter 144)

We don't know yet, but general semi-informed fan guessing consensus seems to be that Ayumu's guitar teacher was indeed Yukiji.

There's always the possibility of a bait and switch for a gag, but I think what the author's trying to convey is "if it's for Hayate, Nagi can do anything". It's the same as when she broke the jewel. No matter how selfish and useless she usually is, when Hayate's really troubled, she will rescue him.

I think the stone that Hayate has is the stone given to him by Mikado dress as Santa so he managed to enter the Royal Garden when he was young, but his brother took the stone so he needs to find him...Finally we will know what happened to his brother.

Season 3 shows that Nagi will get back to the mansion somehow, so the only question is the route of the journey.
