Hello,

About fifteen or so summers ago, when I was quite young, I spent a summer in Hong Kong. My grasp of Cantonese was terrible at best, but that didn't stop me from watching the cartoons.

Now I'm trying to track down what was then my favourite anime of all time. However, all I remember is the opening song. I don't know if the song was in Japanese or Cantonese--in fact, I don't even know if it was Japanese anime at all, or a Chinese cartoon.

I remember it being fantasy-ish. I think. Initially, when I started hunting it down more seriously a few days ago (it's been at the back of my mind for years), I thought it was either Shaman King or Dragon Ball--but I don't think it is either. Keep in mind that this was *around* fifteen summers ago (though I'm not certain--but it was definitely more than, say, nine), so the anime would certainly not be recent.

In what anime does a character go around saying "mapuria, mapuria" (or maybe maburia, maburia)?

In case it doesn't go to the right time mark, she does it about 54secs in.

Segment just before it seems to indicate it's a Ghibli (Hayazaki Miyao) but I can't identify it.

Gonna shoot myself if it's something like One Piece.

Hearing the theme song, I thought it comes from a Japanese anime, but I don't know the title either.

no its not that anime..
its about a boy who gets lots of maids as inherentence and then those maids follow him around where ever he gows they help him in school and all those kinds of things.

Yeah, it should be 244. There's nothing to be confused about. Gintama simply took a break for a while (after episode 202) and then resumed. Episode 244 is episode 244.

Several sites list the artist as Izumi Makoto or Hinata Momo. Both appear to work for the company Unisonshift Accent, so it's probably from one of their eroge.

As an expert relying on moe artstyles, I think it's Momo Hinata who illustrates it.

It's from this sample set by misu kasumi, who has 2 Sayaka/Kyouko doujins translated (MIDSUMMER and Let’s Kiss Everywhere! The Pumpkin Prince and a Stage Play) I am not sure which doujin it was a sample for though

If you look closely, she is the same girl as the one featured on the left side of the cover. The difference is that the one above is art from the Light Novel, and the one at the bottom is art from the anime.

She is Yozora Mikazuki from Haganai a.k.a Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai.
