*sigh* as exciting of a game it was my god am I sick of prevent defense. All I ever see it do is leave people wide open for easy plays to move down the field and win games with field goals. It kind of makes victories feel cheep or too easy from my perspective. Then you'll hear nothing but praise about the QB coming back to win while ignoring the defense playing like complete dolts leaving people open for easy passes. Yup, so impressive.

In fact it seems like that's what half of passes look like in the nfl today, just guys passing to wide open receivers because of some badly played zone coverage where a defender just lets a WR run right pass them. That's why i don't put much stock into passing stats anymore. It all just looks too easy nowadays for so many QBs. I'll keep coming back to this game I love but dang do I feel more and more disappointed by how ridiculously easy it looks passing the ball is now, especially with how its hard enough coverage since you can't touch a damn guy covering anymore. It doesn't seem like anything on these winning drives are earned and that i'm watching a game of touch football.

Sorry for the rant, was kind of fuming after the game thinking, here we go again.

Y'know.

I wonder if John Fox watched this game -- and thought -- "Oh, I coulda done more with 30 seconds and 2 time outs left in the game".

Well that was a hella good game. Wilson was just superb, throughout the season. Looking forward for SF to man handle Atlanta.

Maybe, but then "Manning throws another interception".

Pete Carrol, this is what you get when you try to ice a kicker. You get burned.

Meh, that first kick clearly wasn't real. The whistles had been going for a good second or two by the time he hit it, so he obviously didn't care how it ended up.

I got to say Houston should have challege it.
And with another touchdown this game is looking like a Pats victory.

Well... as predicted... the Texans are showing themselves as a gutless team.

^@Yye1, It's not the Pats fault, it's Texans.
That Houston defence needs to get the Pats offense of the field, if they want to make a comeback.

Houston Texans loss this one, and we have a Patriots VS Ravens rematch.

^Heh, honestly, I hope that the TV screen in Dallas Stadium collapses the night before and the lamest Super Bowl (even worse than Seattle and Pittsburgh) ever takes place at the Cotton Bowl on a Wednesday afternoon, cuz I don't like any of the remaining teams. But yet, my stupid ass will still watch it.

Weirdly enough, I dislike the Pats the least.

Why would anything happening to Dallas Stadium matter? The Super Bowl's in New Orleans.

Hmm, I appear to be two years behind in Super Bowl locations. In that case, let me edit:

I will say that it was satisfying to see a bunch of teams successfully implement pieces of a college style offense that many old-school diehards said would never work in the NFL.

Wishbone/triple option to the NFL?

Hey Seattle Shermans.

Now where is that Seahawks fan that we'll probably never hear from again?

Seattle actually has a pretty devoted fan-base, they have the loudest home stadium in the league so it was a true shame that we didn't get to see a home playoff game by them.

Also, as a Pats fan myself, I have always wondered, why is there such a profound hate for the patriots? Is it because of Spygate? is it because of how they keep getting lucky in the playoffs? (missed field goal, tuck rule) Is it because they have kind of been the Yankees of the NFL for the past 10 years? Or a possible mixture of all 3?
