Ew :S, just watching the people who appear in the first 2 minutes of the video gave me STDs :S. Anyhoo, I gotta say, if you see this as a whole new game, and not just Capcom's attempt to remake an old series, it does seem to be pretty enjoyable.

I'm sure that was said about FFXIII too. It's a good game but a bad FF title.

The original DMC series gave good, awesome and so...so endings. One thing remains the same here it's open ended

Like said for gameplay, UE3 is not a good engine for fast paced games.

True since 2010, it's been protected later they realized that bad PR is not the way to go and then went back to the media go PR with damage control.
Also in 2012 some people already have the advance copy, one reason why we got a few finished walkthrough's like this.

Still waiting for Angryjoe if he will review this game.

Honestly, the story of this game and the build-up is good. The end is just mediocre and it really makes me angry of how weak vergil is.
I really want to get my hands on this game like right now to really feel the full combat in 60fps(PC)

Also guys, it's not like all professional reviewers are bribed. If they are bribed, then DmC will just all 9s. DMC 3 and DMC scored 9.6 in IGN(And nobody complained) so as much as i hate current IGN, i don't think they are bribed in that one.

TBH I think the review pretty much inline with gamer reception. sure it's inferior to DMC 4 & 3 and may piss lot of fan but certainly not a bad game.

It's a good game. It's not just up for DMC standards in terms of Advanced combat.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is still way better in combat and that is also a reboot.

With all the 9-ish scores it implies that DmC must have done something excellent that would overlook the minor flaws (Cause no game is perfect).

So I'm not exactly sure what is it that they did great.

TBH that graph is kinda exaggerated.

the way i judge the game usually (based on metacritic score)

1-5: BAD. wont play unleash if there is strong positive feedback
6: Flawed
7: Average
8-9: Good or I having fun with it
10: No glaring issue

of course if there is a strong critic from other gamers that against the score. I will listen it.
