Not gonna lie I'm a big sucker for good theme songs (openings, inserts, etc.) And that trailer was making the game look better.

I think I get what happens in the trailer. Raiden learned that a Colorado senator named Steven Armstrong was involved in Desperado's activities as proved in that teaser video and tries to kill him. However, that's illegal and he becomes a criminal. Since he is getting close to Armstrong Raiden is attacked by Monsoon in the end.

Also, as an easter egg:

"The eighties... the civil war. You were one of the best among the child soldiers that fought in that conflict. When you were barely ten years old, you became the leader of the small boys unit. At the time, your outstanding kill record earned you several nicknames including White Devil and Jack the Ripper.

Jack... I was your godfather, I named you. When the war ended, you disappeared from the relief center. I wondered what happened to you... I should've known they would recruit you."

Solidus Snake to Raiden, Metal Gear Solid 2

Raiden and Rose later talk that the former's memories were sealed by the Patriots to act like a normal guy. Since the Patriots are gone it's possible that they are coming back. The only time we see Raiden as a kid is in the comic version of Metal Gear Solid 2 where he sang Happy Birthday by Solidus in the most disgusting way possible but we just see his terrified persona.

The mid 2012 trailer used Depeche Mode's "Wrong." Wonder if they are using it or just another. After all, all Metal Gear games since Solid 1 have had main theme songs.

I thought they changed it all into red "blood" from the previous trailers and clips.
Some people don't like the white one since it reminded them of something....

The white blood is only for Japan because of censorship.

Something like that

the initial gameplay showed Raiden cutting up soldiers, but then they changed it to cyborg... I guess it's more morally acceptable...? Ignoring the fact that cyborgs are still living humans...
