Weird, I tried putting one of those as a background using Firefox's "set as desktop background" and it got quite pixelated around the character. Changing it then with Window's background changer (same option: fit or stretch), it's back to normal. Guess FF sucks.

^ well, you are trying to fit/stretch an image that is 2560x1600 after all. :P
the image is meant for a 16:10 ratio monitor setting. that means it's going to be annoying to switch it to 1920x1080p (16:9) for me later on. no matter, i'm not going back to 1080p at this rate. you can always try using Photoshop if you have it. and lower the resolution down. you might not get the exact size to fit your monitor, but it can come pretty close.

I'm the 1200p guy remember :P
Like I said, it was literally something fucked up with FF, because just reapplying the same image with windows' changer lead to a better result. It's the first time it's happened though, I've used the FF feature plenty of times including downsizing larger resolutions (same aspect).
