Do you know how many genres of manga fall under that demographic?

What you hate are battle manga, and for that matter you probably only specifically hate WSJ battle manga. Just like most of the people who read Medaka Box, it seems.

Uno momento please. Ok so real quick, can someone give me a run through of what the substitute thing the Shiranui's do? I mean, I thought Hanten was meant to replace Ajimu when she died? Does that mean he became..err that ultimate goddess-level person that in reality if ported to our world would be God's god? Or what else happened? Maybe I sort of forgot how the whole system works. I just didn't think they turned into the people they're meant to be replacing. By turn into, I mean just that. Transform into.

There is no SHOULD, he obviously did not END it and if you don't like it well too bad. Obviously his target audience still wants it. Not to sound like the if you don't like it dont read it crowd, but you really should.

Oh well... it got decent there for a while with the whole Ajimu/Presidency arc, but I felt it really died during the Jet Black Wedding arc.... and this whole Iihiko thing hasn't really caught me. The reason a lot of people don't like Medaka is the same reason why a lot of people aren't fans of Naruto-- they pretty much overshadow every accomplishment made by other characters in the series. At least in Naruto, though, it felt like the other characters did have a role to play because Naruto couldn't take on everyone at once (in the beginning anyway). With Medaka, it's like "What's the point of even having secondary characters? She can do it all herself." __________________

Like at the end of the Flask Plan arc, but far more and longer. Everyone had to defeat this unstoppable Goddess. It would be hard because, you know, 120%. Then, I realized that idea was stupid, cold not work, and might make things even more unbearable. So, no show. @Guernsay: To be super-ultra-technical, Goddess never fought Medaka. The point still stands and the line between deconstruction of bad writing and bad writing can get a bit blurry.

Spoiler for Chapter 180: Main characters in shounen typically win when their back is against the wall. Why are people so mad that this is the case again, outside of "it's Medaka and we don't like her" bias? Having Zen or Kumagawa or someone else be the one to overcome Iihiko would be like if Naruto got killed by the final villain and Sakura defeats him/her or something.
