Yamato's Wave Motion Gun is listed as a 200 cm weapon (2 meters wide). That just the port it come from, not the massive firing gate in the ship's bow.

Or... the Chinese Gov't, knowing that such tomfoolery will doubtlessly find their way into the Japanese interweb (It's made it this far :/), purposely wrote these articles. It's purpose: to get the Japanese to lower their collective guard.

The Japanese, witnessing such foolishness over the internet, will dismiss the Chinese Gov't as irrational and incompetent. When the time is ripe, China will strike with a surprise diplomatic coup, ending the Island dispute to their favour.
