Currently since they are not yet member of the group, that can't be decided unless... it'll be an issue that requires the student council to intervene.

It will be Honoka. She is the main character after all, and the one who created the group. Isn't she the center in the OP? At least she is standing in the center... not sure if that means anything

I hope that Honoka is the Center. She was the Center in the Episode 3 performance, and I think she suits that role well.

Plus, while Nico is the Club President and obviously will now be "the brains" of the operation, I don't think the narrative should lose sight of how this was first and foremost Honoka's "baby".

Honoka's the one who pushed for this School Idol group the hardest, and she's definitely the main character of the opening arc (the first three episodes). It'll make the narrative feel more nicely cohesive and gradually building up if Honoka remains the Center, and also remains the heart of the group.

I agree it would feel off if Eri would come in and take the "leading" role all of a sudden. Thou admist of all this "center" conversation I wonder why wouls they need frontgirl anyway. It is not like any lives are in sight.
