Still not happy with the "Herp Derp Natsu is stronger than Gajeel" BS but then again I'm biased as hell when it comes to Gajeel. He did look awesome in that last page though.

I'm waiting for Natsu to eat the Eclipse to become the Eclipse Dragon now.

Something crossed my mind after seeing how Rouge looked evil and Gajeel even more so. What if when the minister guy talked about the Dragon Festival being a banquet of Dragons, Humans and Demons. What if these "Demons" were actually Dragon Slayers? You got to admit that when you see a humanoid with horns and claws, first thing comes to mind is "Demon" rather then a "Dragon".

In general, it's a bad idea to take statements like that literally in this series. People in it are very prone to trash talking, taunting, and boasting. With no idea on what basis the "shadow" is comparing them, it's entirely plausible that it's both wrong and base Natsu does equal base Gajeel, and unaware of Natsu's lightning fire mode, meaning LF Natsu could also defeat it the way that IS Gajeel likely will.

Yep. And he disappeared somewhere with Yukino this chapter, so odds are good he's up to something.

Eating different elements doesn't really need an explanation. We already know that anyone can learn any magic, including DS magic.

DS can only be taught properly by dragons. There's probably just less limitations to type once you gain higher skill.

Why does she have such a reaction when Gajeel got hurt? Does she know him? Does she love him? Is she his ex-girlfriend that is secretly still in love with him? Will she show up later and become a love rival for Levy? Is she secretly a dragon in human form?

I was hoping that when Gajeel took a second element, it'd be Earth, but I can see Darkness with Metal.

And we all know that when a Dragonslayer sucks up a second element (thanks to Fire Lightning Natsu) that Dark Metal Gajeel is about to completely PWN Rogue

^ Right, Earth would of been a nice element to correspond with metal, but shadow wasn't too bad, because dark overlaying over dark is nice.

When I think of metal, I think of silver and black for some reason.

I don't think Pokemon has those types yet. I notice in white version they got grass + normal and grass + metal O_o.

I always believe Gajeel was a bad match-up against Natsu due to fire. XD

Actually, there is a pokemon who is Ice/Dragon type

there is ice/dragons but back to the actual manga. Something I've noticed in the manga and the anime is the role the pumpkin judge seems to play. He's reacting to a lot of the things with sabertooth and it seems like he's planning something am I the only one who thinks he's involved in the eclipse plan somehow
