I bet her kenpachiness dies instead and she returns to being a healer. Or she doesn't die.

If she actually dies, I'll wonder why Kubo ever got married. Prob threatened to kill off her favorite character if she didn't say yes. (a female character of course, he wouldnt dare kill off more than one major good guy.)

This chapter was kind of a mess. The action is very hard to understand (that goes for this whole fight). We can't even tell what Unohana's bankai even does. Does it melt flesh or was just a metaphor? I have no idea.

That fight was a major disappointment.

Sooooooo our favorite healer has died?_? with out telling use what her bankai does. I calling lies. She hasn't died at all and its all for the shock value. Because why would she have a healing shikai and then a blood thing bankai. Maybe the blood kills the body down to the bones and then reheals your body and that is why hot springs guy said her method of healing was not the right one for Ichigo and co.

Meh, almost nothing happened. Just Kenpachi stating the obvious and striking Unohana. It's kind of notorious that Kubo wasn't feeling well cos the illustrations weren't visualling striking as usual.

Unohana will probably die because, unlike Byakuya, she doesn't have a massive whiny fanbase. Kubo doesn't kill old characters who have already displayed everything they have to offer, but any side character who gets some unusually impressive time in the spotlight is bound to be on the chopping block.

in retrospect her character was never a very big one story-wise. she probably will die here and give her power to kenpachi or at least make him realize his full potential. i was pretty sure byakuya was dead too... although unohana doesnt have the popularity that byakuya and zaraki have so who knows

You can't kill off Byakuya after THREE FUCKING TIMES and send him off to the RG with his fodder of a sister....but yet you'll kill off the best Healer in the whole entire series and the strongest woman so far just to amp up Big Ape Kenny....

Well, I'll save going nuclear until Kubo makes some kind of hint that she's dead...we all thought Byakuya was dead so who knows....but if this is how he treats Unohana, then I'm not seriously expecting Yoruichi(whenever she comes in) to do anything either. Actually, if Kubo's going to start treating his female characters like shit, then I'm out for good. It's bad enough seeing Rukia constantly shat on...and Inoue being stupid.

I don't really know what to make of this chapter. So many mixed feelings. But I know this much--if she's dead, Aizen will be the one and only reason I have to keep following this manga. Needless to say, I'd hate for that to happen. On a side note, I've never seen a crack pairing come so close to being official.

And Kubo loses even more readers. Why the fuck is this series STILL apparently doing all right in Japan? Aizen ain't in it anymore, Byakuya might not be in this for a long, LONG time and Rukia's never even in it that much anymore except when Kubo needs a body. Inoue only shows up once in awhile for fanservice or whenever Kubo needs another body. Matsumto and her big tits haven't been in it since early this arc...Kubo probaly has her in half or some dumb shit...and with Uno out for at least this chapter, I get the feeling once she comes back, Yoruichi will be the next Old School name to go.

I can't think of any popular character still in this, other than Renji, Ichigo and Kenny.
