SWEET! I was always planning on getting it for the NDS, but if they're remaking it for the Vita I'll get that instead.

Time to start planning my budget for a PS Vita finally.....

Yes this is the tales that had two versions for their release...as for the remake itself, it seems that Chalcedony would become playable in this version..?

The article's use of translated names instead of transliterated names (e.g. "Hisui" becomes "Jadeite") makes me want to ask whether there are any "official" English renditions of the character names? AFAIK there is no English-language edition of either the original or the remake planned . . .

Hmm, between this and the Tales of Innocence remake, I may just break down and buy a Playstation Vita . . .

Those are from the togf localization since the carta game had some of the hearts characters.

Looks nice--maybe slightly higher in visual quality than the recent 3DS port of Tales of The Abyss.

Seems like they still retain no tp system for the battle system... still, I wonder what's that gauge below hp if that's not TP?

There's no TP, but you still have the effort gauge (or whatever it's called) that fills up as you use normal attacks and Artes. When it is sufficiently filled, it can be used to unleash the character's super attack (this system was also in Tales of the Abyss and a couple others). In Tales of Hearts, you can also consume this gauge to call on characters outside of your three-character active party to perform a combination attack with your character (if you choose the correct matching Artes for both your character and the summoned one).

The visuals look very nice, and it's rather impressive that handheld systems can now deliver quality equivalent to the best of the PS2.
