Myyy that sucked. Unohana dying sucked. Don't get why that even happened. We still have no clue what her bankai does. Sure we finally get to know that Kanpachi learns the name of his sword but still why does she have to die if she is a bleeding healer that you know is usefully for wars. Ichigo is clearly going to get a power up that is stronger then Ranjis. It looks like their bodies have marking on them?

I thought the king wanted to see Ichigo. So even if he isn't a valid Shinigami, sending him somewhere else should not be for the Guard to decide.

Ichigo = still hotheaded after 500+ chapters.... when will he gain more self-control of his anger? sometimes he did it... but he always fail to control his anger...

umm.. so now Ichigo must find out about his parents' background?

At least this chapter confirms that TBTP weirdo Kenpachi is Zaraki's direct predecessor (unfortunately - no wonder weakened Zaraki defeated him)
So was Zaraki's lack of sword access just part of him weakening himself, or was it related to Unohana's influence?

He prob sent him back to see his father's shinigami past etc, Who knows. I laughed when Renji won and ichigo didn't. It's like kubo was doing it for the "omg renji is always so useless" fans.

well... I was one of that "omg renji is always so useless" fan

anyway, Unohana's death still painful... but at least I want to see how Zaraki will fight from now on with his new sword
hopefully his sword's personality will be at least similar to him

Looks like Unohana is truly dead. It would suck big time if this is confirmed. I wanted to see more of her. And what does her bankai even do!?

I didn't expect Ichigo to fail the test and be sent back to earth. I suppose it's time for him to find out about his father's past and his own origin.

He sealed off his power in order to make his fights last longer. It makes sense that his sword, which is basically the core of a shinigami's power, would be the most obvious thing to close off. And I'm still not convinced that Unohana is dead. Byakuya gave a similar speech when Ichigo appeared. The sword interrupting those final moments instead of allowing full closure on Unohana's "death" seems odd.

Ichigo losing and Renji winning is actually....kind of predictable. For all his power he is still just a representative of the human world. It's interesting to note his parallels with Zaraki over the years. It makes me wonder how intentional this was by Kubo.

Besides, Zangetsu and Hichigo were never confirmed to return after he got his powers back. So it's possible that the procedure to do that was just borrowed power as well, and he still needs to reforge that bond with his sword again.

I didnt quite get that part where it's said that Asauchi deemed Ichigo as unworthy . But I think I did get that Ouetsu can only fix zanpakutos that is a 'Asauchi' and wont be able to fix Zangetsu because it is a different form of its own . And only Ichigo can fix it ?
I can even bet that Zangetsu isnt really a zanpakuto and it's actually a sword from Kubo's ass which is from Quincies or transcendentals or something like that .

oh and that whole page with Zaraki looking at his sword was just dumb waste . But I was actually waiting for the 'I am ...' '...Your Father' line coming from his zanpakto .just epic .

After 500 chapters, getting shinigami, vizard, fullbring and quincy powers, Kubo now reveals he never was a real shinigami?
Looks like he'll gain powers from another race.

Kenpachi didn't really know anything about releases since he never could hear his zanpaktou's voice, so to him, his sword was already released.

and of course they take time in the chapter to state the already obvious, Ichigo is a noob!
