Well the first PSP game sold about 80k I think? But that had actual gameplay.

Yeah.. it does not have any actual battle scenes, and the decisions you make does not change anything (only few lines are different, after that it returns back to original storyline).
Sort of like watching (static) anime.

Essentially Kamijou-san is putting his tsukkomi denial muscles to hard work

He has to take responsibility for Mikoto (Kamijou denies this)
He is in an inescapable destiny with Index (food).
Mikoto wants to give birth to a baseball team
Index wants to give birth to a 30-man soccer team (What kind of soccer team is that?!)

All right, I doubt anyone even bothers about the Index fighting PSP game anymore but I recently played it again and found out some more things to amend to my knowledge of some of the characters in play:
